(Two days later)
"What you up to?" I asked my girlfriend from across the sofa. She had been typing on her phone for over an hour now.

"Work emails," she replied as usual.

"Really? I haven't had any and they usually come to me first," I frowned.

"Must be a problem with your email,"

"Yeah... I'll call Jeff about it now," I smiled softly and I saw her stiffen you instantly.

"No! Have you updated the app, that's probably it," she answered quickly, going red.

"Oh, no I haven't updated it, I'll do that later I guess," I nodded slightly at my phone, and sat down again in silence.

After five minutes, I grew bored, so I shuffled over to Wilhelmina, and laid my head on her lap to look up at her phone, but the second she saw me looking, she turned it off again.

"What are the emails about?" I asked gently, as she started to play with my hair.

"Just work," she sighed.

She was lying. I had seen her screen. She had been on iMessage to someone.

"I love you," I whispered.

"Hmm," she hummed in response, and smiled a little.

"Do you love me back?" I frowned, tears pricking my eyes.

"Yes," she nodded, not looking at me.

"Then why are you lying to me?"

"I'm sorry? Y/n, what are you talking about?" She laughed.

"Give me your phone," I stated blankly.

"Why?"

"If you were telling the truth, you would just give me it," I retaliated.

"Telling the truth about what?"

"I saw you were messaging someone, give me your phone," I got off her to look her dead in the eye.

"Y/n, you're being ridiculous,"

"Give me your phone and prove that I'm being ridiculous," I growled.

"Why can't you trust me?" She frowned, and moved closer to me.

"Because I know what you've been doing, I've seen the messages," my voice quivered slightly, but I didn't let it break.

"What messages?"

"Give me your phone,"

"Why are you doing this to me y/n? Do you not love me?"

"No, you do not get to play the victim here Wilhelmina. You know what, I hope the two of you are happy together," and with that, I stood up and left upstairs to pack a bag.
