100 years earlier
I was in my quarters reviewing battle plans when Jazz came in and said, "The Primes want to see you."
Uh, oh, I thought. "Okay, I'll head over there soon," I said. I wrapped up what I was doing and headed over to Iacon Hall of Records.
When I was approaching the entrance, I had a memory of when I was guarding the unevolved form of Optimus Prime, Orion Pax, and while I was the unevolved form of myself, Protector.
I wound through the maze of the building until I reached the Chamber of the Primes. When I entered Micronus said "Ah we have been waiting for you, Predaqueen."
"I assume you have a mission for me," I replied.
"Yes, we do. You will go to a small planet called Earth and find some Predacons that Megatron sent. You will find them, convince them to come and join us. If they refuse, make them come."
It's probably not that simple. I thought, nervous about what he might say next.
"But, you will have to transform back into Protector and have a majority of your memories wiped. Also the powers that you gained while being a Predacon will be wiped too." Micronus finished.
I was fine with turning back into Protector but having my memories wiped and losing the powers I have gained, I couldn't think of anything worse. But if it gave us a better chance at winning this war, I would be more than willing to do it. "Okay, I'll do it," I said. Already knowing what they were gonna say, I stepped on the platform right in front of their levitated podiums.
Before I knew it, a blindingly bright light surrounded me. As soon as I thought of something that I wouldn't have learned if I didn't go into that laboratory, it vanished. As I stood there, floating, I felt my body shrinking back to its original form. Before I knew it, I was Protector again. Now I have a new set of memories that replaced my old ones, basically the same except that now there is no hint of the Predacons.
I staggered backward, wondering why I had many small gaps in my memory. I clearly had a very bewildered look on my face. "What's your mission, Soldier?" Vector Prime questioned.
Looking up at them I said; "My mission is to, uh, find some Predacons on a planet called Earth and bring them back." As I was talking I was looking around the room awkwardly.
"Good, good." With the flick of his wrist, a spear shot out of the wall towards me. The spear was only seconds away from impaling me in the chest I dodged sideways. "You're ready."
I nod and slowly turn around and walk away, but Solus Prime said: "Protector, I made a new sword for you, it should assist you in your adventure." Quietly accepting the sword, I thanked her and walked off to find a ship.
When I reached the hangar I started to hear loud footsteps behind me. I stopped and rested a hand on the hilt of my new sword. The footsteps stopped and I heard a soft sigh and whomever was following me and then they left. Relaxing a little, I resumed my walk to my favorite ship.
It was almost as big as the cockpit of the Ark, and I thought that it would be big enough for however many Predacons there are. It was black with stripes of white and dark blue. It also looked like Wheeljack's ship, the Jackhammer.
I went inside and heaved, happy that I was in the ship. I went to the cockpit and set the coordinates to Earth. When I left the hangar, I started practicing my swordsmanship. I was a little rusty, probably because I was one of Optimus' commanding officers, though my memories of being in the field are small and scattered, I thought, and I still don't even know how I accomplished becoming his commanding officer.
After a couple hours of practicing I became bored and started fiddling with it. It looked like it was two blades but I couldn't get them apart. When I was exploring the hilt I saw a small gem and it was glowing blue. It reminded me of the Matrix of Leadership which was in the hilt of the Star Saber. When I pressed on the gem the sword finally came apart and went into two identical blades. I then figured out how to put them back together and started practicing with it.
Once I was about halfway through my journey, I was getting restless and even more bored. Because of that I started to imagine myself becoming a Prime or someone of significance.
I was before the Primes again but this time Alpha Trion was there, holding the Matrix of Leadership in one hand and the Covenant of Primus in the other. I knew that it wasn't the real Matrix, since it had to be bestowed to one by Primus himself.
When I started to explain my new vision they seemed to like it, so they sent me to the Well of Allsparks. I then went to the Well of Allsparks and presented myself to Primus.
When I finished there was a loud boom and then a bright white light. When the light faded, the Matrix of Leadership appeared in front of my face. As I reached out to grab it Primus' loud and booming voice sounded in my audio receptors "I grant you the power of the Matrix of Leadership. Use it wisely, or face the consequences." As he was talking I also was putting it in my chest.
When it reached my spark chamber and fused with my spark, I could feel myself changing into a Prime. My legs and arms grew with spikes going down it. My torso began to grow until it was about a foot in front of my head. As my transformation slowed to a stop I could hear all of the dead Primes say in my head, "Welcome to the family, Sentinel Prime." I then became Sentinel Prime, last of the Primes.
And just like that my short time as a Prime ended. As I was imagining it, I was writing it down and putting it into my journal. Once I finished I looked through all my previous entries, I realized that the titles were there, but not the actual entries. After a couple more boring hours I arrived at a beautiful blue and green planet. The land changed from green to yellow in many places.
As I entered the plant's atmosphere, my ship started burning up and the console got really hot. Oh scrap I'm probably screwed, I thought as I hear pieces of metal fly off of the top of my ship. It started shaking violently and I was getting more and more nervous.
I was angling the ship to land on the northern part of a continent that was filled with gigantic lakes on it—I assumed they were lakes since it was blue, but this planet could be weird and have blue colored lava lakes or something. Instead of landing next to a gigantic bay, I landed close to a lake that looked like it was the biggest of the five lakes in a chain next to it.
After a much not-needed panic attack I landed and checked the ship. Good, nothing is severely damaged, I thought. I started exploring and started to feel a drain on my energy. My vision started getting blurry and my steps wobbled. I hurried and tried to find a place to settle down and not be seen. As I was finding a place my body went into autopilot and found a car for me to scan. I did and then transformed into said car. I then went into deep recharge.
