Saving The Predacons

Chapter 6

Razorclaw! Eclipse and I thought as we realized that he was in danger. I immediately flew to where I heard the noise. When I reached it I transformed and plummeted into the hole. I landed to the right of him and Eclipse landed on the left. I drew my sword, expecting the Predacons to be hostile. Turns out that was a wrong assumption because as soon as they recognized me they dropped into a bow and said, "My Queen."

Damm, that's getting annoying, I thought. "Hello, you may rise. What are your designations?" I asked.

"I'm Divebomb," The one in front of me said.

"And I'm Darksteel," The one in front of Eclipse said.

"Hello Darksteel and Divebomb, as you could tell, I'm Predaqueen. This is Razorclaw and Eclipse," I said, gesturing to the two predacons next to me. Razorclaw transformed after I was done speaking. When Divebombs optics met Razorclaws both of theirs flashed yellow, red, then back to the blue that the rest of our optics were. Their faces also flashed into something else but it was too quick for me to register what it was.

I looked at Eclipse and she gave me a small shrug in response. There was an awkward silence that engulfed the five of us before the sound of ground being broken and twigs snapping broke it. When those noises stopped it was quickly followed by yelps and my mind being flooded with curses and prayers of not dying. I reached my hand up to catch Alex before she reached a speed, where if I caught her then, she would suffer at least a few broken bones.

"Thank you, I was not expecting to be going that fast and not having that much room to stop," she said breathlessly while regaining balance. She noticed that we had company and said,

"Hello, I'm Alex. You look like Darksteel and somewhat like Divebomb."

The look on their faces was priceless while they were processing what Alex had said. She also had said it in Cybertronian which was making them even more confused. They opened and closed their mouths but the words stopped in their throats. After a minute of them staring at Alex like she was Primus reincarnated, Darksteel finally spoke up and all of the attention focused on him.

"H-h-how?!" He exclaimed.

"Oh, it's very simple. First my love for transformers started and I was watching the original cartoon," she explained but I had to stop her from saying things that we did not know. She was also talking like she was teaching little children something complicated and dumbing it down so they could understand.

When she finished I could tell that the two predacons were pissed at her for explaining it like they didn't know how to speak properly. Once she noticed their look, she gave them a very non-innocent smile. I couldn't help myself from going into their minds and snooping. Their thoughts were almost identical.

What a little fragger, is an example of their thoughts. Same as; how long until we can get rid of her?

After another long awkward silence, Divebomb broke it this time. "So do you have a ship that we could take to our next location?" He asked.

Alex bit back a retort and Eclipse responded "Yes, we do, it's a bit ways from here." They nodded and we all transformed into Predacons and I took the lead with Alex on my back.

"It's so fresh up here. How do you not stay up here all day?" Alex said.

Since I couldn't respond with my physical voice, I had to respond with my mental one. I don't know, I guess at some point I get tired and have to return to wherever I need to be. I responded, projecting my mental voice so Alex could hear. She made a noise and I roared in response. The others roared too and Alex laughed. I could tell that she wished she could be one of us, to be free and roar with us.

When I spotted the ship I dived and landed right behind the bay doors. I transformed and entered it. The ship powered up and I took my place in the cockpit. "There are no more Predacons on Earth," I said to Alex, putting her on the console, "So that means that we're gonna have to part ways."

The disappointment on her face is so visible that I want to bring her to Cybertron, but I can't

since she'll die almost instantly. "Really? I don't want to go home," she said.

"I'm sorry, I know you grew fond of us and don't want to part, but I'll come back eventually. OK?" She made a small agreeing noise and sat down while I put in the coordinates to her home. "Hey, wanna ask all of the questions that we didn't have time for earlier," I asked hoping to cheer her up.

Her excitement sky rocketed as she jumped up and exclaimed, "Yes!" She sat in front of me and asked her first question. "How are you and Protector the same bot?"

"Well, you know how Protector told you that she chickened out on going into a lab?" She nodded, her wavy hair bouncing. "Well I didn't, I was brave enough to do it with my friend. It was painful and weird but I'm glad I did it because if I didn't, then this mission would not have had to happen," I said.

Her eyes were wide and went onto her next question, "Was Protectors past almost the same as yours?" I nodded, not wanting to give a full response. "Was the reason that these Predacons were created was because of you?"

"Yes, also because Megatron wanted to overpower the Autobots easily. I don't know exactly what happened since Predaking didn't give that many details but, once Megatron saw me in battle, he felt the need to make Predacons and send them to planets rich of energon in case the reserves on Cybertron ran out.

"So once the battle ended, he ordered Shockwave to make more. It took a couple years before they were ready, but once they were Predaking stole them and brought them to me before Megatron sent them off to the planets.

"When I met them, they immediately bowed and we all began conversing. Now, nearly 100 years later, I was sent on a mission and here we are," I said. Once I finished I realized that the others had gathered around and were listening too.

Alex turned to Eclipse and asked, "How are you able to read minds? You too," she turned to me.

"I don't know, once I met Predaqueen, I developed the power. I guess it strengthens over time because before, I could barely read a bot that's across a room. Now I can kind of feel the worms and ants beneath the earth," Eclipse responded. They both looked at me, waiting for me to start.

"I also don't know. Once I exited Shockwaves lab I could feel Primus' veins pulsing beneath my feet. As to Eclipse's mind reading capabilities; I have no idea how she got them either. I guess it may have been awakened when she met me, or I somehow gave it to her," I explained.

"Well how come we don't have it?" Divebomb asked.

I shrugged, "Maybe you can't get the power, maybe you have to find someone or something before it can be awakened."

The answer left them dissatisfied but I couldn't give them a better explanation. We reached Alex's house and I asked her where we could land the ship, but she didn't give a proper answer so I landed it at the best place I could see. "You four, stay here. Alex I'll bring you home," I ordered the Predacons. I transformed and Alex hopped in. Then we left, not knowing what would happen when she got home.
