Saving The Predacons

Chapter 10

I nearly blacked out again. "No, they can't be! I can still feel them!" I said.

"We scanned the wreckage, nothing could have survived it," Eclipse said. I had to get up. I pushed past them and found my way outside. "Predaqueen!" Eclipse called after me multiple times. "My Queen, you must get inside. It's too dangerous for you out here."

She tried to grab my arm, but I yanked her hand off. "It's never too dangerous for me," I replied, snapping at her and bending over so we're at eye level.

"Queen, your eyes are glowing purple."

I sighed, "I've been keeping a secret from you. I have dark energon in my veins." She stumbled backward. I straightened out my back and I could see the horror in her eyes.

"How could you! You sided with Unicron!" She exclaimed.

"It wasn't my choice! Unicron visited me in a vision and he turned my blood into his," I explained. "I'm sorry. If I could safely dispose of it, I would. But for now, it will have to stay there," I finished and she walked away, disappointment clearly visible on her face.

I looked inside the Ark to see multiple bots staring at me. They quickly dispersed as they realized that I saw them. I shook my head and looked to see a spacebridge off our starboard side. I ran inside and into the cockpit. "Where are we going?" I asked Optimus.

"Earth. I figured that it would be the best place to make base since it is rumored that Earth has a very vast and rich energon supply," he responded. My spark jumped at the thought of seeing Alex again. The ship slowed to a stop while the spacebridge powered up.

We went through and I could feel my body going through space and time until the swirl of blue and green faded into Earth with millions of stars around it. I took control of the ship and steered it toward a good spot to land.

I cloaked the Ark and landed near the crash site of Razorclaw and Eclipse's ship. I found a good spot in the crater to land the Ark, and slowly descended it. I started giving orders and saw Optimus looking at me with awe. "What?" I questioned.

"Just admiring your commanding skills. You executed that better than I would have," He responded, walking toward me.

"Stop flattering me," I said with a chuckle. "They would do anything for you, you are their leader."

He shrugged, "Leadership is not a position nor a title, it is an action and example." He walked away and I debated what I should do. I figured that everyone had their priorities straight, so I took off and started to fly and wander.

I let my spark take me. I found myself at a ranch on the southeastern point of a country the humans call Italy. I landed and saw small children running and screaming into the house.

A person emerged from the house with the kids holding on their leg. "Dio mio! Predaqueen! Mi sei mancato così tanto!" They said. Seeing the look of confusion on my face they shook their head and said, "Predaqueen! My god! I've missed you so much!" I recognized their voice but couldn't recognize them.

"Alex?" I said, kneeling down. "You've changed."

"Yeah. I have." She said, tears building up in her eyes. She ushered the children back inside and yelled to the person at the door, "Va bene. È una vecchia amica." Now I got a good look at her. She now had a more muscular build, and the right side of her hair was shaved. Her hair was still as poofy as ever, but there was streaks of purple on the left side. Her eyes had changed from hazel, to a green. She was as beautiful as ever.

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

"Cybertron started to die. Optimus took us here and we landed at Eclipse's and Razorclaws crash site. I was going to bring you back." I responded.

She looked back to the house and took a deep breath, "I'll be back in a minute." I nodded and she ran inside. I stood up and looked around. I found a garage and peered inside. I saw the Mustang that I used to be. I also saw multiple other cars that I did not recognize.

Alex came running back out and said, "My wife would be fine with all of that. She just is wondering if we would live with you."

"You can continue to live here, or you can come with us," I replied. She ran back in and came back in a minute.

"She wants to stay here for now. But, I'm willing to go with you," She said. I nodded and transformed, folding my wing down so she could get on. I took off and headed north, toward the crash site. "Also, I'm not a girl anymore," Alex yelled over the wind. "I go by they/them pronouns."

"Oh, okay," I responded mentally, not knowing what to say exactly. The rest of the ride was silent as can be.

I landed and saw bots coming in and out of the Ark, bringing supplies to and fro. Alex hopped off and I transformed, letting Alex on my shoulder. I found Optimus, who was helping a bot carry a part to repair the Ark. "Optimus, this is Alex. The human who I grew attached with while I was on Earth."

I heard Alex squeal, and their thoughts were racing almost at much as they did when they saw my real form. "Hello, Earthling." Optimus said.

"H-hello, Optimus Prime. It's an honor to meet you." They held out their hand and then quickly stuffed it back into their pocket.

Someone called for Optimus and he excused himself. I showed Alex around the base and dropped them off at their house and told them that I'll be back. I flew back to base and started to help out.

Weeks went by and the base was starting to be finished. Ratchet and the other tech geek bots built a ground bridge inside of the mountain. We also set up a hologram so the humans couldn't find us. Alex has been back here a couple of times and they have brought their family too.

Now, the alarms were going off and I ran into the cockpit of the Ark. "The Decpticons are attacking a human facility," Ratchet yelled. Optimus started to give orders as Ratchet started to fire up the ground bridge. I ran through the ground bridge and saw the Nemesis hovering over a military base and jets flying about.

I transformed and flew away, not listening to Optimus or the others at all. I landed on the roof of the facility and started to attack whoever was inside. I heard a dragon roar and looked to the side just in time to see Predaking flying in and knocking into my side. His horns stabbed into me, leaking energon.

I was too weak to move so I let darkness take me and I felt myself being lifted off the ground, claws leaving more wounds.
