When Predaqueen and I arrived at my house, I hopped out and told her to stay. She didn't like me ordering her around, but I didn't care and she waited for me. I walked up to the door and unlocked it. I walked inside and saw my mom sitting on the couch, she gazed at me and gasped. "Alex! Oh, you're home, we thought you were kidnapped or killed," she exclaimed and hugged me.

"I'm fine, Mother. I saw Dad's car in the driveway, is he here?" I asked, already pushing past her and walking into the living room. Once I walked in and met Dad's gaze, his face went stiff and I thought that he would yell at me.

Instead, he hugged me just as Mom did. Once he pulled away, he started going into a rant. "Where were you?! Your car hasn't been here for the past two days and neither have you! I thought that you died." He hugged me again.

Once he pulled away I said, "I'm fine. You don't see any cuts or bruises, do you? I just went on a two day adventure." My explanation only seemed to anger them more. "As you can tell; I'm fine. Now let's just settle down and in a little bit Dad and I can leave." Mom's face got redder and redder with irritation.

"So you just came home and you want to leave, huh! So you only give me a text that says that you won't be here for a while and then when you come back you just want to leave with your dad!" Mom said, raising her voice to the point where I'm pretty sure the neighbors could hear us.

"Well I thought that my dad would want to get home as soon as he can and since this is our weekend together, I thought that we could go and I could explain myself once I get home on Sunday." I responded. I said some of the words sarcastically to emphasize my point. She didn't care, she was just too angry at me to come up with a good answer.

"Well fine! Go to your dad's for as long as you want, I don't care anymore." She said, turning around and started to go to her room. I tried to grab her arm but she just grabbed my hand and yanked it off saying, "don't touch me!"

It took me a second for me to register her previous words, but when I did I started crying and went outside. I sat on one of the porch chairs and stared at the ground. Once I calmed down I got up and walked to Predaqueen. "So, your mom's upset," she said.

"Yeah, no shit. She was obviously fucking pissed," I replied, keeping sarcasm in my voice.

"Wow, I just had to shield my mind from yours."

"Sorry, when I'm. . ." I started to say but Dad came outside so I had to continue the sentence in my mind. When I'm angry I swear like a sailor. She made a mental sound but I couldn't fully grasp what it meant.

"Whatcha doin'?" Dad asked, walking down the porch steps and rested against the house when he reached the last one.

"Nothing, just talking to myself." I responded, not thinking fast enough for a proper response. How would you feel if you revealed yourself to my dad? He would freak out. I asked Predaqueen.

No, I can see it in your mind; you fear I'll say no because in other universes Optimus doesn't let anyone know about Cybertron. She responded. Even though many people do. She added very quietly.

". . . And this time you were talking very loudly." Dad said. I only caught the last sentence since I was talking to Predaqueen.

"Well this time I felt like talking loudly," I retorted. After a moment of silence I asked innocently, "Are you ready to go?"

"Are you sure you wanna leave your mother right now?"

"I think so, she's pretty mad and leaving seems like the best option." He nodded and started to walk to his car. I hopped in Predaqueen and we started to go.
