(Himiko uses she/they)

How did she get in this situation?

"I dare you... to call your crush, and confess your feelings!" Mina's voice rang in her ears, and she shrunk on herself, playing with her hands.

Yeah, she had no idea at all.

Ochaco forced a smile for her friends, trying to not think about said crush. "W-What? I don't have a crush, so I can't." She scratched the back of her head, cringing at her own words. She was such a bad liar.

"Nah, I know you do. I sense these things." Fuck. Ochaco groaned, pulling on her hair. She couldn't just do that. Especially not in front of them. Who knew how her crush would react? Maybe she would just get rejected on the spot. Maybe they would say they hated her, and all would be over, back to the beginning. She stared anxiously, weighing in her options. Maybe she should just be honest now, and avoid the heartbreak later.

"... Fine." Uraraka grabbed her phone, unlocking it with shaky fingers, and scrolling through the contact list. She hesitated for a second, but pressed "call", heart beating fast in her chest. Please don't pick up, please don't pick up! She silently prayed, already regretting her decision.

"Hey Ochaco! What's up? I missed you so much!" Uraraka choked on air. How could she be so sweet and so perfect?! The hero in training already felt heat rising to her cheeks.

"Hey, kitten! I missed you too." She muttered, clenching the phone in her hand, smiling despite her will. She heard Jiro choke in the background, and felt a wave of embarrassment wash over her. Right, she could hear that. "I think they're already dating, guys." "Jiro!" She screamed at her, biting her lip, hiding part of her face with her hand.

"Are your friends here? Tell 'em I said hi!" Himiko's voice came through the phone, and she absentmindedly nodded, flustered. "They're saying hi." Uraraka breathed, trying to gain back her composure.

"Right! Hey, mystery person, I think Uraraka has something to tell you!" Mina shouted, loud enough to be heard in the microphone. The brown haired girl immediately shook frantically her head, mouthing "no!" to her friend. But it was too late. Of course it was.

"I'm all ears, Chaco! What is it?" Don't panic, don't panic. But it was easier thought than done. Uraraka gulped, eyeing everyone in the room, who were all watching her eagerly. Of course they were.

"..." Ochaco's word were inaudible, too embarrassed to even articulate what she was thinking. How did people even do this? "I didn't quite catch that, cutie. Mind saying it again?" Uraraka internally screamed, because it wasn't fair, how Himiko could sound so confident in her words, not stumble upon them and not making a fool of themself!

"I want to kiss you." The hero in training blurted out, before dropping her phone as she brought her hands to her mouth, as if to stop herself. But she did it. She didn't know how, but she did. Someone please kill me.

"Should have said so earlier, Ochaco! I'm coming right over!" Himiko sang in the phone, "No! Don't!", a beep was heard, significative of the other hanging up.

Ochaco groaned, pulling on her hair. She was so screwed.
