2 weeks later
I haven't visited Jeremiah since he told me about the bridges. I'm so angry at him.
I'm angry at myself as well.. for leaving him alone.
I mean it's his fault! Why did he have to do it?! I could be with him right now if he didn't do it! Well, I could be with him now anyway... no, I can't. I shouldn't.
"Are you okay, Y/n?" Bruce walks in.
"Yes, just daydreaming." I awkwardly smile and he nods and leaves.
The doorbell rings and it's Ed.
"Hello Ed!" I smile, a real smile.
"Hey, Y/n. Jim told me you visited Jeremiah.." Ed says.
"Oh.. yes, we'll I haven't in a while. I'm done with him, just so you know." I reply.
"What? Your done?"
"Yes."
"Oh, okay.. anyways, Barbara wanted to see you."
"Really? I haven't spoken to her in a while.." I say.
"Yes, I don't know what it's about she just shouted at me to get you so let's go!" Ed points to his car and I get in.
We drive to Barbara's and we both walk in.
There's nobody there. "Barbara?" I call out.
Suddenly she show up, with a gun in her hand.
"What the fuck? Put that down!" I say.
"No! I know you visited him, tell me what happened." She says and I turn to Ed.
"Did guy know she had a gun?!" I ask.
"No! I'm sorry I didn't." He says and I nod, believing him.
"Well, come on Y/n. Speak up." Barbara says.
"Nothing that concerns you happened, Barbara." I say calmly.
"..Well, did he blow up the bridges?" She asks.
My heart drops.
How did she know?
"No. Or at least he never said it to me." I lie.
"..fine! I'm.. im sorry that I pointed a gun at you. I just got frustrated.." She apologies and I tell her it's fine.
"Well, now that your here, stay for a while. We haven't spoken in ages." She smiles and i nod.
We talk for a while and then she turns to me.
"Y/n, I need to tell you something." She says, seriously.
My stomach feels weird. That was the exact sentence Jeremiah says before he told me..
"I slept with Jim."
"WHAT?!" I say very loudly.
"Shh! Yes, and.. im pregnant."
"WHAT?" I repeat.
"Yeah.."
"Congrats!! But what about Lee?" I ask.
"Yeah, well when we slept together she was gone. But, now she's back and her and Jim are dating again."
"Does he know it's his?"
"Nope. I didn't even tell him I'm pregnant." She looks down.
I put my hand on her shoulder.
"Hey, don't worry. It'll be fine. Plus I'll be with you every step of the way, to make sure your okay." I smile.
She looks up and hugs me.
"Thank you, Y/n. That means so much." She softly sobs into my shoulder.
