Caela, the abode of Devra
Taissa held onto her daughters hand tight as she walked through the gates of Caela. Her daughter one step behind her mother. Taissa had never been this nervous before. She had always imagined that between Vaira and her they could keep her protected on earth. They would make sure she knew when she was older, they would train her to protect herself. Taissa's breathing got heavier as they approached the hall.
She stops before she enters and looks at Lexie. "You have to know, I did what I did to protect you. I love you" she tearfully says to Lexie and Lexie nods understandingly. Taissa swallows hard and leads Lexie into the halls holding her hand tighter by the second. She had only just gotten to speak with her daughter and only recently been able to spend time with her in the flesh.
"Taissa!" Devra smiles as he sits on his throne and sees Taissa walk in. His smile immediately falters when he sees the unknown woman walk behind her. A face that resembled his Raissa.
"You have to protect her" Taissa cries without even greeting Devra "She's mine. I know what I did was wrong and you can punish me. But you have to protect her" she begs. Devra stands shocked and along with him his children.
"You lied to me" he growls loud enough for thunder to sound the whole earth. "When?" he asks breathing heavy.
"The night before the war. I didn't know till after. She's my only daughter. Please" she begs crying. Her tears sure to anger the seas. "Please" she begs tightening her hold on Lexie. "You can do anything to me. Banish me from the skies. But you have to protect her"
He stepped down from his throne and looked closer at the grey eyed girl. He recognised her. It was the girl his son loved. "Alexandra" he says aloud remembering her name. Lexie looks up at him. Her grey eyes meeting those of Devra. She was scared to look directly at the God of Gods. The King of the skies. She recognised those eyes. She recognised the face. Her lips parted as a gasp escaped her when his eyes bore into hers. "Lexie" he repeats the name his son called her.
All he could find in his heart for the girl was fondness and love for her. He knew the right thing to do was to annihilate her. To rid her of existence so Luka wouldn't disturb the skies or the seas. "Please" Taissa tearfully begs. The doors open and Lexie turns to look at the woman running towards them. Her blue gown similar to the one Taissa wore.
Vaira rushes to her sisters side as she stands in front of Devra. She looks at Lexie, her only niece and truly fears for her. This was the only daughter of Elixia and Ozea and Vaira took her place on the other side of Lexie grabbing hold of her nieces hand.
"Devra" Vaira begins "She's the only daughter of Elixia and Ozea." she pleads.
Devra looks at Etienne signalling him to clear the hall. Etienne immediately gestured for his siblings to clear the hall. Etienne looked at his cousin and his Aunts hoping that things would be in their favour.
"Do you know what this means Taissa?" Devra growls. "Do you think Nea will stand by this? Or Arga? Or the rest of them?" he gets louder "Do you think anyone will rally for you even if I do?"
"But you can make them" Vaira pleads.
"Would Nea stand by you Vaira?" Devra asks and Vaira squeezes her nieces hand while a tear rolls down her cheek.
"Nea would stand by me. She would understand" Taissa cries inconsolably "Please" she cries.
"I will not ask them to provoke war" Devra states.
"The war has already been provoked!" Taissa yells through her tears "He's already on earth. Have you not heard your son's prayers?"
"Another kingdom would fall Devra" Vaira speaks. Lexie looks between them wondering how she ended up holding the hands of two goddesses while they begged the King of Gods for her protection. Was she really the daughter of Luka?
