Elixia, the abode of Goddess Vaira
Vaira looked over Elixia from the top of her tower. She knew the war was coming and all because of that fateful night. She was one of three people who truly knew what happened that night. They had sworn to keep it a secret for all eternity. It had to be a traitor, how else would Luka find out about the girl. Vaira had seen the girl grow and watched over her through everything. Happy when she was and sad when she was.
The guard came to let her know that she had a visitor requesting her audience. She knew it had to be Devra's doing. He's been trying to find out about the girl. "Rekka" she forces her best smile, but she was happy to see him. Rekka was a favourite of everyone. She had watched over him when he was a little boy on earth, who became King and when he had decided to leave earth, she was happy to see him in the skies. "What brings you to Elixia?"
"Goddess Vaira" he greets with a smile that resembled Devra himself. "I apologise for coming here unannounced" Rekka apologises.
"You're always welcome here Rekka" Vaira meant it "Come" she gestures for him to take a seat at the table in the beautiful gazebo. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"
"Luka has descended on earth" Rekka's face falls. "In search of a daughter nobody knew about"
"There has been only one child of the gods on earth that has been reported" Vaira holds her stoic face "The son of Devra"
"Nerak is on earth. We wondered if he knew anything" Rekka hopefully asks.
"Nerak is on earth to be with Devra's son. If Luka's threat is real, Devra's son needs Nerak" Vaira coats the truth. There was some truth to it. She sent her sons to earth only when it was absolutely necessary. Nerak, her youngest was the protector of Lyska but he was the only one who knew about that night. He would protect them both.
"If there is a war.." Rekka begins.
"Elixia stands with Devra" Vaira cuts him off before he finishes his sentence and Rekka gives her a relieved smile. Vaira insists on Rekka having lunch with her and they reminisce about moments of their past. Vaira's smile falters as she watches Rekka leave. The truth had to come out. If Devra saw a war coming, it meant it was inevitable. The girl needed to be safe.
She walked back to the Effta and looked down on earth searching for Nerak. The Effta in Elixia was different from the rest of the skies, its walls were endless and the pillars weren't made of Vertyr. The pillars were made of corals and pearls, a gift from the seas. She saw him on a mountain with the girl beside him. She was safe with Nerak but she had received word from him that a Lukan was killed by Devra's son.
Vaira opened the door to the Effta and shut her eyes thinking of Taissa. "Hear me" she says under her breath and she heard wings flap behind her and goes out onto the balcony to see the Oolvana flapping its wings as it landed on the ground. Taissa sat magnificently on it. The Oolvana were the divine mount's of the skies. Vaira looks on as her sister dismounts her Oolvana and look at her.
Taissa's hair was blue like the ocean. They changed their shade through the moons depending on how she felt. If not for their hair and eyes, the sisters almost looked alike. "Sister" Taissa gives Vaira a smile as they embrace. "It's been a while"
"How is life under the sea?" Vaira smiles as she snakes her arm through Taissa's as they walk together.
"Like it's supposed to be" Taissa smiles as they walk through the garden. Vaira stops when they get deeper into the garden. Taissa stops and looks at her "Is everything okay, sister?" she asks worriedly.
"Rekka was here" Vaira says and Taissa's face falls and she turns away from her sister continuing her walk.
"He visited Ozea too" Taissa says feeling the nervousness creep through her body "They won't find out"
