     "why are we going hiking-" august questioned angrily, stomping on a crunchy looking leaf. they grabbed at a branch, almost tripping on the way down a small hill. "i haven't even gone on a walk since september."

     kalynn and kieran both hummed along, sharing the same opinions as august. it seems those three were the only ones not enjoying nature. although, it was quite funny watching weston attempt to climb trees all day while pepper yelled at him.

     "stop complaining." mina growled, not turning to the other college student. "fucking annoying-"

     "where are we even going?" kalynn questioned, cutting off the other girl. she jumped off a big rock, sneakers stomping at the dirt covered ground.

     kieran frowned, kicking at a small rock. "yeah like- are we just following the path or," he trailed off.

     this time, however, arden responded from the back of the group. her reasoning for staying at the back was to "make sure you three don't wander off" while pointing to august, kieran, and kalynn. to be fair and frank, it was a good enough reason.
