Suspicion

(Y/N) POV

Me and Yang had a staredown.

Her Violet eyes glared into mine...I remember that glare all too well.

"Where have you been all this time? I mean...it's been years," Yangs asks me

"I've been...focusing on myself," I lie as she nods not taking her eye off me.

"He's back Yang! It'll be just like old times!" Ruby says excitedly.

"Yeah," Yang says unmoved...she doesn't seem to believe that statement...she's right...this will be nothing like the old times...

Flashback

"Add that...Oooooo and that! That looks sick!" Ruby says as I laugh in glee as we design a cool umbrella as a sign of good faith for one of our new allies.

"Oh, she's gonna love it!" Ruby says looking at the pink fabric.

"Oh, I'm excited now!" Ruby says as I chuckle...oh man I'm head over heels for this girl.

She looked at me with those beautiful silver eyes...the only thing I don't like about them is they will always see me as a friend...nothing more.

"That looks fancy," Yang says from behind us.

"I know right!" Ruby agrees

"Great job (Y/N)!" Ruby says before grabbing the umbrella and dashing out to give it to its new wielder.

"Don't let it go to your head," Yang says as I look at her a little confused.

"What do you mean?" I ask her...I don't think Yang likes me.

"Her praise...Your just a stepping stone for her to use to help everyone...whether you like it or not...that's all you are," Yang says looking at me with a glare.

"Can the same be said for you?" I fire back as she raises her brow and smiles.

"No...I'm her sister, I support her through the tough times...you won't be there for her darkest moment in life...I can be sure of that," she says as I feel the heat start to rush to my head.

"Well, at least I'll be known as an inventor that assisted the hero....not the hero's busty sister," I say with my own smirk.

Yangs eyes turn red as she's about to throw a punch at me.

"Yang! Where's my cape! I almost forgot it!" Ruby yells before she opens the door a couple of seconds later.

Yang managed to calm herself down and stop the punch before Ruby entered.

"I think it's here,"

"I think it's destiny," Ruby says as I snap awake.

"What?" I ask

"(Y/N) shows up to help us track down our newest villain...exploding bomb man," Ruby says as Yang perks up and looks at me

"How do you know it's not a woman?" I ask Ruby

"Good point," she says bewildered.

"This is why your the brains," she says cracking me a smile.

Yang burned her stare into my eyes.

"You didn't set off those bombs...right (Y/N)?" She asks

"Of course not...why would I?" I say

Yang thinks for a bit.

"I guess," she mutters

I look at Ruby

"Maybe it's a one-time thing?" I ask her

"Maybe...but how did they place bombs everywhere and no one noticed?" She asks

"(Y/N)...did you make those bombs?" Yang asks

"Yang...we just went through this," Ruby says as Yang doesn't move on her position.

"It's Impossible," I lie as Yang continues staring daggers at me.

"I've actually lost my ability to make stuff," I lie as I come up with it last minute.

The air holds still as Yang and Ruby look at me in shock.

"What do you mean," Ruby asks

"I was.....I was..." I try to say but tears threatened to stream out.

The tears were real...I'm sure Ruby put together that I was tortured...but saying it out loud seems like an impossible goal

"No no, you don't need to explain," Ruby says as Yang's eyes soften a little

"Thanks, I'll leave...I need some time alone," I say as Ruby jumps up and shows me the door.

"Thanks," I say as I leave.

As I was leaving I felt something soft on my cheek.

Ruby kissed me on my cheek as I was leaving...I blushed a little.

She dares

"Get off me you bitch!"

I throw the urge to insult her away before he comes to my mouth.

"Cya later Ruby," I say as she nods
