Going Back

(Y/N) POV

I look at Ruby and then at Yang.

My old hatred for the blonde had disappeared.

I think of a time machine and it appears behind my back.

"Are you sure everything is ok?" Ruby asks

I take a deep breath in. And I press the button.

My soul feels like it rips itself inside out.

I see my past. I see my torture. And I see my redemption.

In a flash of an eye, I relive my life as suddenly I fall face-first into a tree.

I fall through the branches before I eventually come to a stop on the ground.

That hurt

I look around as the wind makes a nice breeze through all the trees

I look around and I see a small town to my left.

Idea?

We go to the village to find out where we are

Makes sense

I walk to the village.

It was a small and cozy place, looked like 5 families could be living here in the 5 houses.

I wouldn't even call this a village. More like an outpost.

"Hello!" I yell as I walk into the small village.

A door opened and a little boy poked his head out

"Hi, Sir!" He says with a smile

"Oh, hi," I reply as he suddenly disappears into the house

"Sorry about that...he's always on the lookout for travellers," an older man says appearing in the doorway.

"Oh, I see. I'll be on my way...I just need to know where Vale is?" I ask him as he raises an eyebrow

Did we ask him a trick question?

Maybe the time machine didn't work as intended...and it erased Vale

"Why do you need to go to Vale?" He asks me. To see Ruby

"I'm reuniting with a friend there," I say as he nods

"I believe it's northwest about another 49 km," he answers as my eyes widen

How the hell did I get that far away!

"You look surprised...what are you doing out in the woods?" He asks me

"I got separated from the group I was travelling with, I don't know the area well," I admit as he nods

"Well...be more careful... There are some nasty animals out there," the man says as I nod

"Ok, I'll keep that in mind," I say as he nods and shuts the door.

I follow his directions and start moving northwest," I didn't make it 5 km before I ran into trouble.

What's that?

Looks like an animal trap

I step around the deadly-looking machine...and then I heard a loud clang.

The hell was that?

I start looking around...before I noticed my pant leg was started to feel wet.

I look down and a hunting trap hidden well under the leaves and dirt had buried its claws into my skin.

"That's nice," I mutter as I feel light-headed.

Blackness followed suit.

Knotavin- Hello Readers. I wanted to know something. My stories can get pretty weird and confusing but in my opinion more interesting. So I end this part a little short to ask you. Do you want a weird version of time travel that is uncommon, or do you want the more simple version of time travel? I'm good with either. I do think the weird version may extend this book by a couple of parts though, I have a good idea for it and in the end, probably won't be confusing anyways but just wondering.
