Chapter 1 - The Sickness

Elsa's POV
It's been 3 years since Jack asked me out. We were already grown ups and could already start a job. I never stopped visitng my parents' grave since their tragic death but that didn't stop me from reaching for my dreams. I always thought to myself that, the more I think about my parents, the more determined I get to achieve my goals. But that's just the introduction. I haven't started my "story" yet. And now, it all begins here...

*ALARM CLOCK RINGS: 7:30 am*

I groaned as I tried turning off the alarm clock. I glanced at Jack who was still sound asleep.

I smiled at him while watching him sleep. His cuteness never fades.

I stood up and went to the bathroom to freshen up.

As I washed my face, I brushed my teeth as well. Yes, i'm a multitasker.

I went out of the bathroom and seeing Jack sitting on the bed yawning.

"Good morning Jack" i said as i went to him to give him a morning massage on his shoulders.

He smiled and said, "good morning as well, snowflake"

"How did you sleep?"

"Good actually, better than the rest."

"Well, maybe your're already getting used to this place." I said as i went downstairs to prepare breakfast.

I forgot to mention, we moved to an apartment where there's enough space for the both of us.

I made pancakes and fried bacons. As soon as i was done, Jack already went downstairs to join me.

He just stared at me while i was preparing his coffee, I'm used to it actually, no matter how many times i stop him from doing it, he'll still do it.

"You look so beautiful," he said, still staring at me with those dazzling blue eyes

"You always say that," He said.

"Because it's true," he said smiling at me which made me smile back

I handed him his coffee and food. He took a sip and a bite.

As soon as he finished eating, he brought his dishes to the sink and went upstairs to get ready for work.

While he was getting ready, i washed the dishes and cleaned the living room as well as the other rooms.

I got a call from my friend Rapunzel whose coming over.

Jack went downstairs already in his business outfit. He kissed me goodbye and left.

A few minutes later, my friend Rapunzel arrived.

"Hey! It's been a long time since I last saw you." Greeted Punzie as she gave me a tight hug

"I know right... Come in, come in. Just in time, i'm about to bake cookies. Would you like to join me?" I asked her.

"Well duhh! That's like our highschool thing! Of course i'm joining you!"

As we baked, i asked her a few questions with what's going on with her life now, since Max died and now she's living with her new husband, Eugene.

"Hey, how's it going with you and Eugene?" I asked.

"Oh you know... Same old same old" she said as she smiled while looking at the bowl.

"Is there something wrong?" I asked her, realizing that i never should've asked her that.

"N-no, everything's fine.. Hey, i'll just check if mail's here" she said, trying to find an excuse to terminate the conversation.

"Okay" I said.

After finishing mixing, I tasted the batter before putting it on the cookie sheet to be baked.

'Mmmm, it's tastes so good' I thought.

I placed the cookie sheet inside the oven and waited for it to be baked.

I saw Rapunzel sitting on the couch just staring at something like she was thinking so deep.

I snapped my fingers to see if it would snap her out of her thoughts. It did.

"W-what?" She said, stammering.

"Nothing" I said.

After a few minutes, i felt a sudden reaction in my stomach, i just hope it doesn't get all the way up to my throat.

I went silent for a little while, feeling the reaction inside me. I felt it go up to my throat.

Which made my throat kind of hot.

I gagged a little and realized Rapunzel noticed.

"Hey you alright?" She asked, looking a little worried.

"Y-yeah, i think it's just the batter. Anyway we shouldn't be tasting raw batter at all" I said, although I wasn't sure if it was the batter that's making me feel sick.

"Alright then..." Punzie said

I didn't wait for the hot stuff to make its way out of me infront of Punzie. So I made my way to the bathroom.

I threw up. 'Stupid batter made me sick. I never should've tasted it in the first place!' I thought.

I heard footsteps coming near the door.

"Hey Elsa, you really sure you're okay back there?" It was Rapunzel.

"Y-yeah... I'll be out in a sec,"

"Els, what happened to you?"

"I think it was just the batter that made me sick. I never should've tasted it in the first place"

Punzie touched my forehead to check my temperature

"My goodness Els, you're burning!"

"C'mon, i'll tuck you in bed... Then if i ever catch Jack downstairs before i leave, i'll explain to him what happened."

I nodded in agreement.

Few hours later i heard footsteps downstairs. It could be Jack

Then i saw Jack entering the room, worried.

"Els, punzie told me. How are you exactly feeling?"

"Just a little nauseous."

"Tsk, alright. I'll make you some soup. Stay here and rest. I'll just change into my casual wear."

I just nodded and took a nap.
