Chapter 22 - Everything's Settled

A/N: Hi! Here is another chapter for you guys :) I felt like updating a chapter before I disappear for a week. I changed my mind about how the remaining chapters will be. I'll skip this to the day before the big celebration, since we are almost close to the end of this book. So yeah, I hope you enjoy this one. *throws potatoes*

DAY 30 - December 20th, Thursday

Elsa's POV

Another day without the company of my daughter. Huh, I have been feeling isolated for a while. I wonder what my daughter and friends are up to since all of them are busy, including Anna. She called me this morning that she'll visit me this afternoon but she won't tell me why. I just hope they're not ignoring me or anything, I can't afford to it.

I sighed as I walked to the kitchen to make myself coffee when Hailey entered the kitchen while texting, as usual. This time, she's smiling and biting her lower lip which made me furrow my eyebrows. This young lady cannot be having a secret boyfriend, not on my watch. I cleared my throat and she looked up with her lips parted, still smiling. I raised my eyebrows but she just shrugged and went back to texting. Teenagers.

I scowled, "Hailey," I said in a monotone voice and it startled her. "Yeah mom?" She locked her phone and took a bite of her twinkies. I nodded to her phone and she looked at it, then gave me a questioning look. I crossed my arms and raised my eyebrows then she mouthed an 'o'. "Don't worry mom, boys aren't in my list right now. I'm busy," I cocked my eyebrow which made her groan. "Mooooom," she whined and stomped her foot. I raised my hands in defeat. "Alright, fine!" She rolled her eyes and marched back to her room while texting, again.

I grabbed my mug and went to the living room to watch some tv. I flipped through the channels. Disney, Nickelodeon, HBO, Star Movies, Nat Geo,... Ooh!

"Oh yeah, it's the 4th season of Teen Wolf!" I listened carefully to the conversations of Styles and Scott. Too bad Allison died, I loved her. Then the scene changed to when werewolves battled some kind of guy in a mask. I cuddled with my pillow and coffee and enjoyed the moment.

KNOCK KNOCK

I sighed and stood up from my position. I opened the door to see Anna with 3 shopping bags, 2 on her right and 1 on her left. She was grinning happily and hugged me. "Hey Elsie!" She pulled away and I noticed that she brought her som with her. "Hi aunt Ellie," Jace was still 4 years old and cannot pronounce some words yet. I wave at him and gestured them to come in.

"So um.. What made you guys come here?" I pursed my lips and heard running steps going downstairs. "Aunt Anna!" Hailey jumped on the last 2 steps of the staircase and went to hug Anna. She kneeled down and hugged Jace. "Hey Jacey!" She carried him and Jace started giggling. "Aunt Anna, can Jace and I go upstairs and play?" Anna smiled and nodded. Hailey cheered and tickled the 4 year old while bouncing him on the way to her room.

As soon as we heard the door close, we looked at each other. "So um, to answer your question, I came by to visit-oh! And give this to you," she gave me all three of the bags she brought but I shook my head. "Anna no, these are too much! You know I hate being pitied and treated like this. You even bought it from Forever 21!" I pushed the bags away from me which made Anna frown. "First of all, I absolutely don't pity you. Second, these cost to much for me to be put to waste. And third, I bought these because you're supposed to wear them for tomorrow night," She pushed them to me again but this time, I didn't hesitate to take them. Anna smiled but then it hit me. "Tomorrow night? What's tomorrow night?" Anna's eyes widened and she gulped.

"I-I mean... Tomorrow we'll be having a girls' night out with Hailey! I mean, it's been a while since we last hungout, so I was planning if-y'know-maybe we could catch up with things," Anna shrugged and I thought for a moment.
