A/N: Short filler chapter since I can't think of anything to write.

???'s POV
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU FAILED?!" My master yelled and started throwing objects at me, literally. I gulped as I tried to dodge the sharp knives that are being thrown. "I-I'm sorry master, bu-but the pl-place was fi-filled with p-people," His eyes were about to explode by the looks of it. He was very aggressive these past few days since the guy Jack Frost and his daughter Hailey attempted to kill him.
He was very sure of himself that he'll be able to steal and kill. "You worthless piece of reptile!" His words stung me. Having a medical condition like this isn't easy at all.
You see, I have this disease called, Harlequin Ichthyosis. It is a rare skin disease that looks like snake skin. It's very stressing to have this illness, especially when heat strikes or cold. Once one of these seasons occur, my skin peels nonstop and it just... Sickens me.
"Kaa!" My boss called me after zoning out. "Y-yes?" I bit my lip to prevent from tearing from the words he insulted me. "I-I'm sorry about the reptile thing," He apologized, it took me a while to nod slowly and just go with it. Sometimes, I don't get why I still work for this guy.
"It-it's fine," I muttered, enough for him to hear from the distance. He asked me to leave at once so he can decide a plan to make his wishes come true.
2 MONTHS LATER
Hailey's POV
"Hail, put that over there." My mom ordered me as she was opening one of the boxes that just arrived. I did as I was told and put the decorative lamp on the table side beside the couch in the living room.
We had just moved in with dad. He was carrying one of either my or mom's luggages upstairs a while ago. I guess he's finished by this time.
Hours passed and now i'm reading a book aunt Anna wrote for me. It was entitled, 'Endings'. It tells us that endings don't always end happily, but it depends on how the story goes. Sometimes, books can hurt you if your life is sort of connected with the story.
KNOCK KNOCK
A knock on the interrupted my reading, but oh well. "Come in," I said gently as I closed my book to lay on my back. A figure slowly entered and I recognized it. My dad.
"Hey dad," I exhaled while looking at the glowing stars on my ceiling. "Hey princess," he walked to me and sat beside me. He was now wearing his pajamas.
I sighed loudly and rested my palms on my abdomen. Dad cuddled up with me, embracing me into his arms. I felt his warmness as I leaned closer to him. "Say, can I ask you a question?" My dad asked and I nodded. "Of course," My dad exhaled and started. "What do you say if you want a sibling?" I jolted up from my position and looked at my dad in surprise. "You serious?" I raised my voice, only to receive a hush from my dad. "I know, I know. It's actually sounds crazy," He bit his lower lip but I shook my head. "No dad, I mean that--that's great! I've always wanted to be a big sister!" I grinned widely as ever causing my dad to chuckle.
"I'm just asking though, cause you know, we can always make one." My dad winked and I pretended to gag. "Dad! Ew! Just no! Gosh!" I shuddered and groaned in disgust. My dad just laughed and I laughed along soon.
Then it had come to the point where all of us have to get some rest.
"Alright Hail, let's get some rest. Tomorrow we'll be doing stuff." My dad smiled and I nodded. He left my room and I made myself comfortable on my new bed. It actually felt different to sleep in a different bed while knowing it'll be that way forever.
I just hope I get a sibling soon enough, or atleast days after the wedding. I got a long list of perfect baby names in store! And I can't wait to know what the gender will be!
