As I was walking across the sidewalk. I noticed this guy with his upper body looking straight under the sewer.

"Come on little guys, here..."

It took me by a surprise when he finally pulled himself up along with baby kitten. "You poor little guys, I'm so sorry," He added as he pets them. He didn't mind having dirt on his plain white shirt. I couldn't help but to admire the sight and of course, him.

The guy suddenly looked at me. I turn to look away and pretend that I was looking for something inside my plastic bag. "..What did I buy for uncle. Should I-"

"Hi, this might be a strange question but, do you want to adopt a kitten?" The guy approached to me. To be fair, I wasn't expecting him to be this tall and appealing, his noticeable mole on his face is a knock off. And, I meant it in a nicest way.

"Me? No, I can't take any responsibilities.." I refused. The kitten was cute but I just really don't think it will live within my watch.

"Poor thing, I can't have it in my place.." He sighed, just yet, I couldn't resist him or the kitten. My heart frantically raced as he was about to leave. "Hey, stop."

"As you'd like, let me take care of that kitten. In return, I would like to ask you one thing. As you know, you're also the guardian of this cat. I'm doing this on your behalf.." I paused. "What's your name?"

"Ishikawa Yuki." His smile flickered across his face. "And you are?"

"Mayu..Nishikawa, Mayu." I repeated. Then he finally gave the kitten to me. I held it in my arms. It was too cute I would melt in the spot.

He shot another smile. "By any chance, Mayu, can I get to see him every month? I would love to see him grow happily."

"Of course you can, you can always see him as you wish.." I responded. There were no seconds I'm keeping an eye on his face. I was already catching feelings.

"..Ah, one last thing. By any chance do you happen to be taken or single?"

He chuckled. "I'm single."
