The dinning table was set. Grandeur with a number of palatable and plushy looking parsi dishes. So many to devour and so many to just stare at and relish its beauty."sana honey i have made ur favorite Ravo and dar ni pori " aunt nilofer nudged sana towards the dinning table pointing at the bowl of Ravo, which is a typical parsi sweet dish and quiet similar to sheera. Dar ni pori is again a traditional n typical parsi sweet dishes. A crisp flaky pastry giving way to a thick layer of sweetened dal that's mixed in with a variety of dry fruits. Sadly the Dar Ni Pori can be quite complicated to make and so is hard to find.
" wow! Thank you so much Aunty. Im dying to have them. Bhook bhi lagi hai dopahar se kuch ni khaya. " she said gulping her saliva, reaching the dinning table.
"Ameh, what's for me? I'm sure u remember ke u have a nephew, ur only nephew! Who came back from canada after good four years" daniyal exclaimed, frowning taking a jibe on her.To which Sana smiled, looking at both of them.
"gadehro! Itna sab maine bnaya, kiske liya? Haan! This Dhansak, baked custard, mitho dahi, u young littke lad mere liya kya laya tu?
"ummm... Kuch toh hai.. Let me check" he giggled caricaturing to find something in her pocket.
"ye... Aapke liya "he muttered in excitement,
"what this " she asked raising her brows in ebullience.
"khol ke dekho na... " he insisted.
" abhi? "
Ofcourse ameh come on. " he said in obviousness.
" this! This is.... O my goodness. I was yearning for this since so long. Thanks dikra.... U made so happy " she exclaimed, hugging her most favorite n anticipated book. She lovws to read n keeps on updating her bookshelf with new books. And this one was her current favorite.
"ye kya hai aunty? " sana asked, intervened in bwtween them, after absorbing their flair n excitement.
"book, obviously " he was quick with his repartee. Making sana a bit conscious. Though this was supposed to be taken in a fun way. But still felt a little cognizant to his quirky reply.
"this is one of my fav book. Uska 2nd addition." Parsi bol "volume 2. Main kitna try kiya, but mujhe 2 edition kahi nahi mila.... N now i get it finally" thanks my love " she kissed his cheek" acha now, leave all this! let get on to the dinning table. Khana thanda ho jayega. " she told them.
They sertled themselves on their respective chairs, relishing the delicious food, decoratwd on the table.
"aunty I'll help you u with the dishes."
"areh nahin darling, I'll do it. U go and rest. Kitna kaam krti hai tu ,u must be hell tired !" she muttered putting the dishes into the sink.
"no aunty, main bilkul theek hn, tired but itti bhi nahi all. " she insisted, taking the dishes from hee hold.
" Ameh!... U go, main help kara dunga, i have been noticing you since the time i have came, u are constantly into some work . And waise bhi we young people can do it fast. U are one who need rest in my opinion. " he chuckled, hugging her.
"ok! All right, im going... And Don't u dare age shame me. " she sniggered and went way to shut close her antique shop.
"Im fine, I'll donit alone. U can go and have some rest. "she mumbled to Daniyal.
"no thats absolutely fine. Im used to all of that. In Canada ,we do not get house help that easily. I manage everything by my own self. Kabhi kabhi dost aake help kr dete hai when we party but other wise sab khud ni krna padta hai. " he told her while taking a dish in his hand and rubbing it with scrub. It was evident with the way he was doing dishes that he was actually used to it.
