"what did you have the entire day? " he asked glaring at her. Her eyes looked away seeking from an excuse .
"alright.... Finish this first and i want the plate clean! " his muscles stiffen, she flinched, slowly biting her upper lip. This expression were perilous. She slowly took the sandwich and took a bite from it. The whole room reverberated onlysilence until she had the last morsel. He was surfing into his phone also kept checking her from time to time.
"hmm... What did you have the entirw day? " he asked, removing the plate fr her front.
"breakfast! " she whispered and put her feet down on the floor looking for for her slippers.
"elaborate! " he said raising his brows
"chai biscuit " she answered, biting the inner wall of her cheeks. As he looked at her and sighed listening to her reply. "but sirf aaj aisa hua hai, aaj sachi time nhi mila, infact.... "
"muh band! " he exclaimed, raising his index finger at her. "anemic koi ek din mein nhi ho jata! " her eyes widened listening to that. "Isse phle tumhari jo bhi majburi thi, but ab nhi hai so u must leave this bizarre job. You don't need that anymore " he casually made the statement but seems like that didn't go well with her. Her mind took it in another way.
"no sidharth! That is not a bizarre job! I have earned my bread and butter through that, ye check mere hath mein hai that doesn't mean that i should start to look down upon my previous job. I owe you a lot im sorry i don't mean to demean that ever but i owe them too. The owner helped me with advance payments and loans a number of times. Iss tarah abruptly jakar job chhod dun? No sidharth i can't! I cant deny the fact that its still indeed a sustainable job. Abhi main singer bani nahi hoon. " she prattled, and huffed looking away.
"ye jo itna gyaan tumne pela hai na, iski jarurat thi nhi btw! And i didn't mean to degrade your so called sustainable job. And as if ye koi government job hai ." he rolled his eyes, resting his back on the chair. Letting his body loose, his gesture assured a scintillating smile on her face. She smiled ,looking at him with her peripheral vision.
"what!!? Aise kya dekhri ho? was just concerned about ur health. And kabhi na kabhi yoh ye job chhodni hi padegi tumhe...isliye bola! Aur kuch nhi. " he added, squinting his eyes.
She dabbed both her lips together, in an order to monitor her giggle.
"i know... Acha im sorry! Main thodi si touchy ho gai thi. " she said.
"tum aise touchy hoti ho? I go touchy like this " and with in a flash he pecked her lips. Making her eyes widen. Before she could have reacted, the beep on sidharth's phone disturbed the ambiance. This time it was sana who saw first. She gazed at him and then on the phone.
"sidharth..." her voice was filled with insistance.
"what!? " he responded annoyance.
"kya problem hai jaane mein? " she asked
"problem! Its not about problem...its a simple way to keep nasty things at bay. Mujhe shouk nahi hai apne bete ko mana karne ka ya use upset karne ka,but vo bacha hai he doesn't know the truth of his parents. He is a fragil soul. I dont want him to see the idious side of his parents relationship. Main usse thode time ke liye upset dekh skta hoon but i can't tolerate him getting vulnerable because of us. Main bhugat chuka hun, i don't want my child to suffer. My parents never had normal married life. According to me, agar lakh koshish karne ke baad bhi do log sath mein khush nahi reh sakte. To unhe alag ho jana chahiye. They remained in an awful conjugal relationship just because of me. But uska kya faiyda hua? Nothing. It was a bad decision they took... Coz sath mein all three of us suffered. Especially my mother! She died unhappy. She died in pain. I don't want history to repeat itself. " his narrative was indeed reasonable, painful and profound. His eyes somewhere get glossy while explaining. She immediately swifted herself close to him. Cupping his face, her thumb pad rubbed on his cheeks. She looked deep into his eyes.
