Chapter 68

I am rarely at a loss of words, but everything that Vampire has done in just this decade tells me how dangerous she is. After she came to me when my precious baby girl was born I knew time was going to be limited. Time was not on my side anymore. She demands an answer from me, and all she wants to hear is yes. She wants me to willingly give her my daughter and if I did I would be nothing but her lapdog. I knew when she said that we would rule as equals that was a lie. She will rule and my people will be subservient forever. Saryia isn't ruling material. She is so destructive that I know she will destroy this world. She must be stopped, and she must never find my daughter. I know what she will do to her when she gets her grubby hands on her. Not my daughter... 

The only way I can save my pack and my people is to align with the human government. Using my own connection in the government I was able to make a meeting with the Sectary of State's councilor. When I told the Elders what I was going to do they were not happy. It needs to be done, and I will be the Emperor to do so. It is time to reveal ourselves again to the humans. It has been so long since they truly knew that our people were among them. Saryia has been spreading paranoia making humans fear the supernatural again, but if we became the allies all they will need to see is that Saryia is the problem. 

"Alpha. The humans have crossed the territory border. They have 20 special operators with them." I turn to my subordinate.

"Vampires?" He nods.

"Two. One with the councilor the other with the operators." 

"Her spies. Encircle them quietly. They make any move that I don't like kill them." My subordinate bows then takes his wolf form. I take a deep breath then step outside. Apollo is waiting at the foot of the stairs. He looks ready to go. I look for my other two children and see my precious Haty trying to escape Odin's wolf form. Sydney watches from afar with a soft smile on her face. She must have sensed my distress because her eyes meet mine. 

"Later." I say to her in our link. She gives me that look, and I know I will be explaining all when I get back. I know she's worried too. Rightfully so, she is terrified of Saryia. That demon used our Goddess against us to manipulate us for centuries. She is a liar, a murder, and she must be stopped before she becomes a conqueror.  

I stay in my human form while the rest of my pack runs beside me. No one speaks while we run to the meeting spot. This is definitely unprecedented for werewolves. This is history what we are doing here today. The humans have not been aware of werewolves since the Dark Ages. Meeting with them here today we are coming out after many centuries. The problem is not letting that woman know until my teeth are clasped around her throat. That being said I have to kill those two vampires.

"Listen to me. Locate the vampire hiding in the trees and kill them quietly. Running Elk, Andy, and Emily be ready to pounce on the bloodsucker with the councilor."

"Yes Alpha." They respond quickly. I look at my son and a small shiver runs down my spine. The place where we are meeting is the same place my brother died. I thought it would be fitting meeting in the place where she saved my life. I can't help to think that it was her idea to save one of us in the first place. My brother was a lot like my son. A powerful wolf that would stop at nothing to get what he wanted. He also had a short temper. It would become foul if the circumstances were correct. His power was amplified with the purple glint in his eyes, but I knew that wasn't power. It was a curse an old one that has plagued the family for thousands of years. Thankfully I and my sons seem to be immune to its effects. She knows about the family curse. She used it to kill Eros all those years ago, and perhaps she was making sure that it wouldn't happen again. Knowing that monster she might try to provoke it in my daughter in an attempt to gain control of this ancient curse. She will fail, but she won't get the chance.
