Y/n bounced downstairs to see Rebekah on her phone.

"Where's Elijah?" She asked.

"He's in the kitchen getting a blood bag, why?" Rebekah asked.

"I'll tell you after." She winked at her.

Y/n got to the kitchen door and saw Elijah pouring the contents of the bag into a glass.

"Hey, you hungry?" He lifted the half full bag and licked the dripping top before offering it out.

"Um no, I'm okay right now." She politely declined. She didn't say anything else and just stared at the beautiful man in front of her.

"Y/n? Did you want something?" He asked.

She shook her head, breaking herself out of the million thoughts that were running through her mind.

"Yes actually." She stepped into the room and closed the door behind her. "I made my choice."

Elijah lowered the glass from his lips.

"You love me so much." She said taking a few steps towards him. "So much so that you would sacrifice everything if you knew if would keep me safe. You've been my rock for the past 7 almost 8 years and I couldn't think of anyone else to be in that position. I shouldn't have even thought of someone else being by my side. I choose you Elijah." A smile grew across his face.

"Really?" Y/n nodded.

The glass was now on the table and within a few steps he was across the room and in front of her. Their lips crashed together.

"We do this, we leave here. I want to leave here with you." She smiled.

"I'll take you to Paris and we'll go see the Eiffel Tower at night where we can see the whole city lit up. Then we'll go to India and taste the most amazing food." He started telling her their plans.

"We'll do it all." She pecked a kiss on his lips and pulled him into a hug.

Rebekah was on the other side of door, listening in as usual to the conversation. She swung the door open.

"I knew it!" She shouted. "I knew you'd choose him!" Y/n laughed.

"I've made the right choice. I know I have." She glanced into Elijah's eyes. "I love you."

"I love you too. I never stopped." Elijah replied.

When Elijah said they were going to go everywhere, he wasn't kidding. They started off their trip in Paris, and then travelled to Bordeaux in southern France to go wine tasting.
They spent days walking through the grape vines and other days lying in bed -naked- enjoying the sunshine. Their journey took them all over the place from Sydney to Germany to Brazil to Russia.
When they arrived back in the US, Elijah took her back to Mystic Falls. There she caught up with Caroline, Bonnie and Elena.
Caroline was getting married to Stefan and had twin girls around Hope's age.
Bonnie was dating a vampire called Enzo and they seemed so happy.
In a twist of events, Elena was dating Damon of all people. She'd finished College and was now in medical school training to be a doctor.
Once they'd had enough for a while, they returned to New Orleans.

Klaus had moved on and was actually dating Cami now. A couple none of the Mikaelson's expected.
Cami now owned Rousseau's, and opened it up to everyone, now just vampires and werewolves. The rule became 'if you were supernatural, you were welcome'.
She and Klaus made sure to video call Y/n and Elijah no matter where they were in the world, to hear all they'd been up to.

Hayley had worked out things with Jackson after the whole sleeping with Elijah situation and he moved back to their apartment from the Bayou. Hope was beginning to call him 'dada' much to Klaus' disapproval.

Davina and Kol left New Orleans once again and began on the road themselves, meeting up with Y/n and Elijah in some places. Davina was going around different covens, seeing what they're power and magic was like.

And they all lived happily ever after...

Or did they?
