Chapter 46

After that we all just hung out and ate good food. I went and crawled back into my bed and slowly dozed off. When I awoke Toby was standing in my door way. "Hey, I just wanted to apologize for how I acted back at the crowning ceremony. We really couldn't do anything against Levi, or should I say Solar. He decided to change his name to separate himself from you more. " He says rubbing the back of his neck. "It's okay, I forgave you all a while ago. Sure, I was pissed about everything that had happened. But I just, couldn't hold on to that hate I guess." I shrug a small smile on my face. Toby smiles as well and we head down stairs for presents. Soon it was time for Toby to head back to the mansion. He hugged Lyra and Connie, nodded at Jess, Jay and Alex. He turns to me. "Do you think it will be alright if I visit every now and then?" He asks. I shrug smiling. "Oh, how about this?" I put a cellphone into his hand. "So you can stay in contact even if you can't find a chance to come over. I'll keep you updated with new info on wild one." I hum. Toby smiles and nods before ruffling my hair and leaving. "Are you sure he won't tell the others and Levi that you are here?" Alex asks. "Yea, he wouldn't do anything to put his mom and sister in harms way again. Not after just getting them back." I say, crossing my arms.  Toby kept to his promise, visiting when ever he got the chance and I kept him updated with the baby. When he would visit he would tell me everything that had been going on at the mansion, Jeff and Lui weren't fighting as much, everyone was still getting used to not having me around. Ben had taken my exile the hardest, every chance he got he would hide away in my old room. Toby showed me the photo evidence. The next five months flew past and I could burst at any second, though we were prepared for almost anything since I had decided I wanted to do an at home birth, not wanting to leave any legal information proving this child actually exists just in case they decide to become a pasta or killer. I was sitting in my room staring out the window when I felt my water break. I cried out to Connie and Lyra, almost in a panic. Everything felt like it was slowing down, the contractions hurt like a bitch, I could barely walk. My head spun and I wanted to pass out, but Lyra kept me awake.  "Come on JD, you got this honey." Connie says. I whimpered as I pushed, everything hurting now. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Lyra texting someone with my phone.  Connie's voice was sounding muddy, "JD, you need to keep pushing and stay awake sweet heart. Can you do that for me?" She asks. I nod weakly, sweat beading up on my skin. "She is losing a lot of blood, what are we going to do?" Lyra asks. "We try our best to keep her around. We can't give up on her now Lyra." Connie says. I pushed again crying out. I heard the door open and glanced over to see a blue mask. "I got here as fast as I could and brought a doctor." Toby says. "I'm technically not a doctor, just studied to become one. But not the point right now. How is she doing?" EJ asks.
