Chapter 38

I walk to the control room letting the shadows around me go wild, smashing lights and killing guards.  I kick the door in and everyone inside whips around to face me. "Miss me fuckers? Come and get me." I throw my hand out and a shadow spears the control box causing the lights to go out, cameras power down,  an alarm to go off and the annoying red light to start spinning. I spin on my heel and takes off away from the control room. The people chase after me screaming into their walkies talkies. I smirk and keep running thankful for the stamina I had built up over training. Soon I could hear guards screaming and their bodies falling to the floor, my smirk growing wider. Suddenly I hear a gun shot and barely dodge the bullet. "When the fuck did they get guns?!" I cry out to myself and darts around a corner. I press my back up against the wall and holds my breath watching as the scientists run past me with their personal guards. I step away from the wall and continues forward. I pass by cages and the occupants inside hit the bars trying to grab me, snarling and snapping. You could barely call them human any more, they were just beasts. Forcefully broken away from what kept them sane and manageable. 'Seer to Moon. Come in Moon.' I hear Jess's voice in my head. 'Moon for go. What's up?' I glance around. 'We have rescued 4 out of your 5 taken and some others.  The one we haven't found yet is Ben.' Jess says. I turn my head and I spot said male sitting in a cell. 'I just found him. I'll meet you all at the meeting spot. Get out of here quickly.' I break off the call and rushes to Ben's cell. "Ben." I snap as I reach the door. "JD, did you get the others already?" Ben says leaping up off the floor. I grab the door with the shadows and rips it off the wall. "Yeah, Come on. We don't have a lot of time." I say grabbing Ben's hand and races down the halls quickly. I get to close to a cell and the occupant inside catches my arm with their nails drawing blood. "Dammit." I hiss under my breath but keep moving. We get out of Silver and I use the shadows to bring the roof down. Ben looks back at it then at me with wide eyes. He goes to say something but I keep moving forward. Ben and I reach the meeting point and everyone is catching up, smiling and celebrating. I spot the new additions and bites my lip. Ben rushes to the others and I follow slowly behind keeping my eyes on the newbies. "JD, glad you and Ben go out of there so quickly. I thought we were going to have to go back in to get you guys." Jeff says. At the sound of my name the newbies whip their heads to face me. The look in their eyes changes to that familiar crazed and animalistic I had witnessed first hand  and I click my tongue. Before anyone else noticed the change, the newbies rush me weapons drawn. "What the hell?!" Lui yells as I dodge Candy pop's sledge hammer. I knock Candy pop out then I get decked upside the head from Zero. "I'll explain in a second." I say knocking Zero, Lazari, Dark Link. I pant heavily and sighs. I turn to face the others. "So, do you know what happens to you if Slender let's you go?" I ask. "It all depends on the reasoning,  but the main thing is we aren't much different than while we have a contract just more blood thirsty." Masky says. I nod my head, "And that is what happens when it's broken willingly. Silver Kindergarten, forcefully breaks that contract. Slender isn't affected of course, but the person on the other side of that contract. Goes through so much pain, mentally and physically,  they are stripped of what made them a killer. A life line to keep them afloat and able to stay rational, with out it they drown in madness and blood thirst." I look down at the unconscious Pastas. "Okay, but that doesn't explain why they attacked you." Ben says. "I am technically a life line and the only one able to reduce Silver to ash. So Silver convinces their "patients" that I am a threat. Promising to fix the contract if they kill me." I shudder. "Is there a way to fix the contract after it's been forcefully broken?" Toby asks. I nod my head but stays silent heading back towards the Mansion. The others follow me, after picking up the Sleeping Pastas.
