(Present Kendras pov)

Did you even care Jaden? Part of me wonders how you even lived with yourself after you broke me. Tore me into a half, crawling back up to the surface. But you never seemed to care. Did you know how hard it was to look at my phone and see no text, calls, or any notifications from you anymore? I would sit in my bedroom, watching my phone light up, only having it no be you. I would ask myself why I just let you walk away. That maybe it was my fault that you chose to leave me. Just. I wanted an
explanation...
Was it me? Was it how I looked? Smelt? Hung onto you? Was it me who brought you to the conclusion that you just didn't want me? Was I stupid to think this situation was an overreaction? I just want to know Jaden.
I stare at myself in the mirror. As my hair stays down, a black tube top matching the black vans. Light wash jeans that are high-waisted. You always said you liked me showing off my curves. You said it gave people a look, a look as if they were jealous. He loved having other people being jealous of us. He loved the way I didn't talk to other boys the way I talked to him. But that doesn't matter does it? Was I a joke? Was I just a plain simple joke that you got wrapped around your finger? Was I that one girl? Clueless and stupid for having you as a boyfriend? We dated for 12 months, was I just not enough? I arrived at school, late sadly. Mother was running late and who am I to stop her from her rushing need to take me to school? So I stroll into school, the office was still quiet as always. All you could hear was the keyframes of the keyboard. "Take a late pass," the same cranky old lady tells me. I grab a slip and head to class. I forgot we had to do a whole ass group project, fuck-
I walked into class, the teacher looking towards me while the other students are in their groups.
"Late again?" He asks and takes my slip.
"At least I have a slip this time," I shrug. Walking towards my desk where the group of boys were at.
"Oh look who finally showed up!" Josh yells. Jaden was right next to him. Staring at his pencil while I pulled out a chair.
"Hi- Josh," I said plainly.
"Don't be like that princess- we all like having a newbie around," He laughs. Did he jus-
"Don't call me that." I scoff. Jaden used to call me that, occasionally changing up the weird nickname but, it still had memories to it. " I'll call you what I want," He smiles.
"You won't be saying it after I smack your lips to the whiteboard," I Snap. "Okayyy-" Quinton dismisses. I could see Jaden chuckling, Coop and Quinton has a smirk on their faces too. Oh- right, Josh was right next to me, Jaden In front of me, Quinton to the left, and Coop diagonal.
"What is this project about?" Cooper's dumb self asks. He was never the brightest
"Changes in the world," I say.
"Um- okay, so what do you think Newbie?" Quinton asks.
"What do you mean?"
"What are your ideas on the changes in the world?" He leans back on his chair, hiding a smirk that was evidently planted on his face.
"Well, um, ig not only does the world change but people do too. I guess that's why the world is what it is today," Coop writes my response down. Quinton nods his head while Josh looked obviously intrigued by my appearance, perv. Jaden on the other hand, was staring right at me. I felt the burning intensity from his eyes try to connect with mine. The fury was so magnetic that my eyes laid on his. Slowly burning a flame in my eyes, sending chills down my spine. "Hey, newbie?" Josh calls me and I turn. "What?"How about you come to my place after school? I need to study and you would be a good study buddy- right?" His smile weakens the urge to punch the guy. He is such a dick that I hope he falls in a ditch.
"She's tutoring me after school, maybe next time," Jaden steps in. Woah. "She's not your puppet Jaden, you haven't even said a word after she sat down-" Josh starts. "Shut up already! God. The girl left! Yeah, it was depressing but she's gone! This should not end up like Kendra alright!" Quinton raises, standing to his feet to place his hands on the table. My head turns to him. His eyes land on me, his face turning a bright red while mine was still pale.
"Right, sorry newbie," he sits. Part of me thought that he was gonna realize that it was me. That I'm not gone. But he's still as clueless as ever. Quinton- Josh- Cooper. They all don't know that I'm right next to them. But Jaden, he knows, and yet, he hasn't done anything abt it..tbc
