YOON JAE HO'S POV
Few minutes later, the doctors shifted her to the operation theatre and the operation began.
I was getting restless with each passing second. It was going to be a very long operation. The doctors weren't sure about its result.
I was pacing in the corridor when Smith came.
"Sir, I just received a call from Miss Jessica Lozano. She informed that she is coming here to meet you. I will go to the airport to pick her as soon as she reaches here."
This news was enough to give me a little ray of hope.
Jessi, my only friend has now proved that she is my real friend. She will cover such a long distance just to meet me.
"I am so sorry, sir. I allowed her to come here without your permission. I thought that she is a good friend of yours and her presence will be helpful." Smith added.
"No, no Smith. It's completely alright. Thank you so much for asking her to come. I really need someone with me right now." I gave him a faint smile.

Ten hours passed after her operation but she didn't move even a little. She, my mother, my life, my everything is still unconscious.
Even the operation continued for five long hours. The doctors said that her condition was stable now and she is out of danger. They even shifted her to the general ward just one hour ago.
The whole night passed just like that. I didn't even blink my eyes for the whole time...
I couldn't believe the doctors until I myself saw her opening her eyes, talking to me, calling my name, holding my hand.
I was sitting on the stool placed next to her bed with her hand in mine.
Her body felt a little cold. Her closed eyes and blank face were scaring me to the core.
"Mom, please get up. I promise I will do whatever you say. I won't come back late at night. I will soon find a girl and get settled. Please mom, get up." A tear flowed down my face and I bent my head down.
I stayed in that position for some time when I heard a soft whisper.
I looked up to find Jessi standing next to me.
Jessi, my friend was here.
Her presence felt like a bucket of ice cold water rained down on me just as I was about to pass out from walking in the scorching heat. The heat that had built up inside me as a result of the incident quickly cooled down. I experienced a sense of lightness. I was at comfort.
I didn't think for a second and hugged her tightly.
She stumbled a little but then she rubbed my back.
"She will be alright, Jae." She whispered softly. "I am here for you. I am here with you. Trust me, she will be alright."
"Jessi, she-she hasn't said anything in the last 16 hours. She-she...she isn't responding." My voice stuttered. I was so scared throughout the whole night but I didn't show it. But Jessi's presence made me loose control over my emotions and I cried my heart out.
"Shhh...shhh...Jae. I am here with you. She will be alright, I promise." She wiped my tears and gave me a soothing smile.
I looked up at her face and nodded my head.
"Thank you so much for coming, Jessi. I really needed you. It means a lot to me." I smiled softly.
"I am always there for you, Jae. Don't worry, Okay??" She patted my back.
