DREAM COMES TRUE

Chapter 19

"Shhh...shh..Jessi. Please, don't cry. I didn't aim to cause you any pain. I was just worried, which is why I said everything. I am aware of your feelings. Jessi, please don't cry. He'll be OK, and his mother will also be fine. Please, please don't cry." On the other end of the phone, his frightened and soothing voice boomed.

"Andy, I understand. Even in your dreams, I'm sure you'd never think of hurting me. It's entirely my fault. My tears are uncontrollable. Every little thing makes me cry." I raised my voice a little to hide my sobs.

"It's all right, Jessi. This is one of my favourite characteristics of yours. It's okay to get emotional from time to time. Now, forget about it all and tell me if you had any problems while travelling. I hope you're not having any difficulties?" He inquired.

"Yes, I am perfectly fine and secure. I was able to get here without any difficulty. Smith even came to the airport to fetch me up. So everything is fine." I gave my response.

"It makes me feel so much better to know that. What's the state of his mother? And how's your friend, for whom you've done so much?" He asked.

"Mrs. Yoon is in good health. The operation went well, and she was sent to the general ward by the doctors. She will have to be monitored for a while longer. Jae, on the other hand, is still not doing well. I'm doing my best to cheer him up." I responded.

"Great. I hope he recovers quickly as well. So, when are you going to return? I'm already missing you terribly." His desperation was audible.

"May be 1 or 2 days. I will first see the situation here and then decide accordingly." I replied.

"2 days... I don't believe I'll be able to last that long. I believe I shall pass away tonight." His statement upset me.

"Are you mad or what? Stop talking nonsense." I raised my voice.

"I am sorry, I didn't mean that. I just meant that you are my oxygen. How can I live without oxygen for two long days?" Came his sweet reply.

Aww, he is too sweet for me to handle. I love him so much.

"Don't worry, I will call you from time to time. And will try to be back asap." I smiled.

"Okay, darling. Be back soon. I miss you so much." He blowed a loud kiss through the phone.

"I miss you too. Bye."

I was about to disconnect but just then he interrupted me.

"Just Bye?"

"Ahh" I smiled. "I love you so so much." I too blowed a kiss.

"I love you too." With that, he ended the call.

I am so lucky to have these two in my life. They love me so much.

Especially Andy. I expected him to be upset with me, yet my one tear was enough to melt his rage. He simply couldn't watch me weep. All he cared about was my safety and happiness. He had an amazing ability to comprehend what I was saying. He never got in the way of my choices or decisions, and he always respected them until they endangered me. He is, without a doubt, the ideal life mate I could ever have.

I got up from the chair and looked around but couldn't find Smith. I decided to check on Jae and Mrs. Yoon first, and then call Smith again later.

I went inside the room and found Jae sitting in the same position as earlier. His mother was still unconscious.

I walked further in and noticed the food packet that was kept on the table attached to the bed.

When did Smith bring this? I didn't see him. May be I was too engrossed in talking to Andy.
