Jae guided me to another room which was most probably the guest room and then he himself went to take a shower.

It became so difficult to calm my heart the moment I entered the bathroom. The bathtub lied there like a king. There was a window right behind the bathtub and a cute, little chandelier hanging from the top. The marble floor was so clean and shiny that I could even sleep there.

In that moment, I decided that all I wanted was to live a celebrity life.

Even the idea sounded so rich and expensive.

After taking a bath, I explored every nook and cranny of the house. I know it's quite unethical of me to do so, but I couldn't pass up this opportunity. That was almost a once-in-a-lifetime chance.

I wished I could tell everyone in the world that I was close friends with the world's most attractive man. Jealousy would have consumed every fangirl.

I went to his room and knocked on the door after taking a good look around his residence. When no one responded, I gently pushed it open. Jae was not there.

I went into the kitchen after hearing some noise and discovered Jae cooking something.

Gas stoves could really make anything hot whether it's a dish or any human standing near them.

"Can you tell me what you're cooking?" As I perched on a bar stool near the kitchen counter, I inquired.

"Something wonderful. You'll enjoy them." He smiled as he gazed up at me.

"Without a doubt. Do you require my help?" I was ready to approach him when he actually stopped me.

"You do nothing but sit there. I'll make it work. You cooked for me when I first came to your house, so now it's my time. You are a very special guest of mine. Allow me to serve you." As he flipped the pancakes in the skillet, he said.

"Ohhk, alright. Did you call Smith? How is Mrs. Yoon now?" I inquired.

"Yeah, I already did. She is fine. We too will soon leave for the hospital." He informed.

"Oh, that's fantastic to hear." I gave a nod.

"Please enjoy it. Wanted to ask how it tastes." He slid the dish to my side and motioned for me to take a bite.

I took a bite and closed my eyes in delight. The pancakes were delicious.

"Mmmm...delicious," as the exquisite taste of the pancakes engulfed my tongue, I spoke.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it." He gave a kind smile.

"You really love your mother, no? I also do." I asked sweetly.

"Yeah." He gave a warm smile.

"To me, she is everything." He kept going. "She is the person I adore the most in the entire universe. My only reason for smiling has to do with her. In reality, I have only one reason to smile everyday, actually no—" He locked his gaze on my face. " Right now, I have two reasons."

"You, too, Jes, make me happy. You are also really precious to me." He smiled dreamily.

That line astounded me. That was something I hadn't anticipated. But it made me pleased to know that I was able to make him smile.

After all, that was why I had travelled all the way to Korea...to soothe him and prevent him from completely collapsing of emotional pain.

I was relieved to have completed my task.
