(Avery's POV)
Me and Cameron's hand swayed back and forth as we walked to school and we watched Megan ride ahead of us on her skate board.
I got a call from an unknown number.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Hi is this avery?" A small voice asked.
"Yes who is this?"
"This is the hospital. We have called to inform you that your grandmother had a heart attack late last night and unfortunately didn't make it. I'm very sorry," I stopped dead in my tracks. I had a blank look on my face. Was I happy?
Was I sad?
Only I could tell and I didn't even know.
"Hello?" The girl asked
"Um yeah. Do you need me to do anything?" I looked at Megan who was looking at us. "Well, were you living with her? Because she said you weren't but now, if you can find someone 18 years of age or older to live there with you in 24 hours, that huge house is all yours. But if not, by law the government will have to take you to an orphanage until you turn 18," I was in shock. I can't believe this.
"Ok. But I don't need to do anything?" I ask.
"Just show up to the funeral,"
"Ok. Ok bye," I hung up and sighed. I look at cameron, the confusion and concern on his face.
I pull him into a hug and cried into his chest. I need to find someone 18. And fast. I can't believe she's gone. But I will get the house, eventually.
I pull out of the hug.
"She's gone," I shook my head.
"Who?" Megan, who was know in front of me, asked.
"Avery what's going on?"
"Grandmama. She had a heart attack and passed,"
"Oh my god,"
"Aves I'm so sorry. We can miss school today," he said. Then I realized some thing.
He's a senior.
"Cam, how old are you?" I asked.
"I just turned 18 why?"
I smiled.
"Would you want to move into a mansion with me? Megan you could come too," I smirked.
"No way! We've dreamed of that for ages now," megan said.
"Of coarse!" He said.
"And I'm sure my mom wouldn't care," she shrugged.
"Lets not go to school and move in," I said. They both nodded.
"But first I have to ask my mom," Megan pointed out.
"Me too," cameron said.
"Alright. Let's do that and move in omg this is going to be awesome!" I exclaimed.
"But I'm in charge," cameron smirked.

"Megan the chair isn't moving you have to push harder," I told her as we moved a recliner.
"That's what she said," she chuckled. I laughed and we moved the chair.
We were moving all the furniture in the living room because why not, its our place.
Cameron came down the stairs.
"My room is hella big," he laughed.
"Did you get all move in?" I asked.
"Yeah, I did. My room is sweet," he bragged.
"Mines better," megan flipped her hair.
"No no no, mines definitely better," we all laughed.
"I have a good idea," megan said and left.
"That was weird and random," Cameron said.
"You just defined her," I laughed.
We heard blaring music, which scared me so much I fell to the floor.
"JESUS CHRST WHY DO YOU THINK THATS OK," I yelled. Cameron laughed and Megan came back around the corner and laughed. Cameron helped me up and I laughed too. I'm really excited for moments and memories like these. And I know I should be really sad about grandmama, but for some reason, I'm not. It will probably just hit me like a truck in a few days.
But that's ok, because now I have people who have shoulders to cry on and they are just a few rooms down.
