Chapter 23 (Avery's POV)
"You think it will look good?" I asked rolling up the flannel sleeves that megan gave me.
She gave a big smile and nodded.
"Can I look now?" I laughed at how excited she was.
She nodded and dragged me to the mirror. I had on a red plaid flannel and bright blue skinny jeans, can't forget the tan uggs. It wasn't really my style, but she picked it out. Its a big day.
I smiled as she fixed my hair into a waterfall braid and tied it off.
I looked pretty good, and perfect for where we were going.
*flashback*
It was the end of school and me and cameron were walking home.
"Hey, I was thinking, do you maybe want to go on a picnic this Saturday?" He gave a big smile.
Was this a date? I thought as there was little sparks bouncing off the side of my head.
"Sounds fun," I smiled. I can't believe this holy moly.
We small talked about things that happened today at school as we approached megans house.
"I'll pick you up at 6:30 on Saturday," he said.
"Alright," I said walking through the front door.
*end of flashback*
It was Saturday, 6:15.
She did my make up, simple mascara and a winged eyeliner.
We sat down on the bed.
"I'm so excited," she squealed.
"I think you more excited than me" I laughed.
"I probably am," she nodded. I was really excited too.
I got a text from cameron saying he was here.
I smirked at megan and got up and waved.
"I have to go, don't do drugs," I jokingly warned.
"Use protection!" She shouted as I walked out the door. I laughed as I opened the front door and walked out.
There he was, in khakis and a hoodie. He looked pretty decent. He held a rose and a huge smile.
"Hey princess," he said. I blushed.
"Why hello my prince," I said while "bowing"
He took my hand and we walked to a near by field. There was a blanket and a basket.
"Ive got ham and cheese and peanut butter. What would you like?" He asked
"Um, ham and cheese please!" I said with a goofy smile.
He laughed and handed me the sandwich.
We ate and talked. It was fantastic, no magical. It was getting kinda late.
"Wanna walk home or?" I asked.
"Yeah. Its getting kinda late," I nodded my head. I didn't want this to end.
He got up and helped me up.
We smiled at each other And he put his hands on my waist. I put mine around his neck.
"It was great. We should do this more often," he grined.
Then, something that I never would have imagined happened.
