Chapter 27 (Avery's POV)
(A/n: listen to the a team. I'm listening it to it as I write and just its Omg)
I don't have a grandma.
Not any more.
I don't have a family.
Not any more.
Why me?
I pulled my knees to my chest and cried.
I looked over at the clock.
2:56
Why was I even up.
Why was I even crying about a woman who couldn't give 2 shits about me.
Why?
I cried and cried.
I remember when I was ten and depressed.
*flashback*
"Avery get back into your room or else your not ever leaving this house!" My grandmom scolded.
"Please grandmom," I cried. I was starving. I just sneaked down stairs so I could get a snack. I was so hungry. She didn't give me dinner because I went to Megan's house before I went home.
"No! Get your little ass in your room before I make you live outside! Go!" She yelled.
I nodded, holding back tears. I haven't had anything to eat today.
I walk up the stairs and into my room.
I miss my mom.
If she was here, she would stand up for me, and take me out to eat.
I walked into the corner and slide down the wall.
I pull my knees to my chest and put my head in between my knees.
I sobbed, cried, and balled.
I look at the clock.
2:56.
When there were no more tears to cry, I starred blankly at the wall.
I'm not supposed to be living this life.
I can't.
Some times people cry because they have been strong for too long.
Sometimes those people break and give in.
I pull myself up and walk to my bathroom.
I grab my blade and sighed.
I fiddled with it in my fingers as I sat down on the toilet.
I sigh and more tears flow.
I dragged the medal across the skin on my wrists.
I felt relief, but I still felt like a complete fool.
I'm only a little girl.
Little girls aren't supposed to do this.
But obviously, I'm not average.
Little girls aren't supposed to be starved.
Little girls are supposed have a mom that loved them. I sliced my skin two more times, and overal I have 4 lines close to each other and take up my wrist.
I clean up the blood that oozed onto my shorts and on the bath tub. I look out into my room.
Mom.
She was there, looking at me crying.
I cried harder. I got up and threw my arms at her, but she vanished.
I grabbed air and stubbled forward.
Was that me hallucinating?
Did mom really just look at me.
It hurt me seeing her cry, it really did.
Then I think to myself, this is my life now.
I'm pathetic.
That's all Ill ever be.
*end of flashback*
I never told anyone about that night.
I'd have to tell them about me cutting, and I never told anyone that. Not even megan.
I put my head in my hands and sobbed.
I really saw my mom. I wonder how I could see her again.
A year.
I've been clean for a year.
I look down at the scars on my wrists.
I won't give in.
Not again.
My throat was offly dry.
I climbed off my bed and looked at the spot where my mom had been 7 years ago.
I smiled at the thought of her.
I walked down the stairs and tio toes into the kitchen. I grabbed a bottle of water from the kitchen and went back up stairs.
I looked down as I walked. I was almost to the stairs when I bumbed into a tall figure. I looked up at cameron looking down at me. I sighed.
"Avery what's wrong?" He whispered. I lowered my head and shook it.
He put his index finger under my chin and lifted my head up to look at him.
"Avery," he said with sympathy.
I sniffles my nose and he wrapped his strong arms around me. We hugged tight. "Want to talk about it?" He asked.
I shook my head no.
We pulled apart.
"Don't cry. Your a princess in the sad part of her movie," he said.
I half smiled.
"Get a goods rest sleep now ok?" He said.
I nodded and walked up the stairs. He walked into the kitchen.
I walk back into my room.
I stood where my mom was. I smiled.
I crawled into my bed and fell asleep in the thought of her coming back to take me with her.

A/n: I honestly really like this chapter. Idk it just gives me all kinds of feels and I can relate to it. Just ugh.
