Chapter 9 (Avery's POV)
I parked my bike in front of the small shop. I walked in and could see cameron there, eating some yogurt.
"Hey," he said as I made my way over to him.
"Hey," I sighed. I can't believe I'm doing this, but there's no turning back.
(A/n: when your hearts under attack I will give everything I have, this is my destanyy I will never say never I will fight I will fight for forever name that song Omg)
"So what did you want to talk about?" He asked, shoving yogurt in his mouth.
"The truth," I blankly said.
He gave a confused look.
"Look, a lot of people don't know about me and my whole story. I live with my grandmother because my mom got hit by a drunk driver and died when I was nine, and my dad got deployed before I was born and let's just say, he's not coming back. I don't know much about him, my mom never told me about him," I could hear my voice cracking.
"So, I moved in with my grandma where she treats me horribly. She doesn't really talk to me, but when she does its because she wants to yell at me. When I get in trouble, she starves me. That's why I just really hate going home. Also, to top it all off, people make fun of me and make things up at school. They call me things. I've even been told to kill myself," I was getting choked up and was crying.
"Who said that?" He asked.
I put my head down.
"Presly," I mumble.
"Wow," he says, in shock.
"She just wants to bring people down. Especial me because we used to be friends until I decided I didn't want to put up with her bull anymore."
"Yeah. Lately she's been a bitch," he says. I look up.
"Really? I thought y'all were madly in love?" I asked.
"I did. I loved her, but now, I'm ashamed to say that. She's a jerk,"
"Well ok then," I said. I never thought I would hear those words, not from him.
"I'm so sorry avery," he said looking into my eyes.
"Its okay. Its been eating me alive for a while. I'm just tired of having to sneak out and I'm tried of going to bed hungry. And I know theres a lot more people going through a lot worse, and I'm just a brat," I sighed.
"No your not," he said with sympathy.
"Look, nice talk. I'll see you later but right now I have to go to make sure my mom doesn't find out I'm gone," I said grabbing my things.
"Bye," he said. I got up and he hugged me. He held me tight, and it felt nice.
(A/n: this is from my dream Omg)
We hugged for an awful long while.
"Cameron!" I heard annoying voice yell. Then I heard the clicking of the oh so familiar heels getting closer and closer.
A/n oh shit
