Veronica walked into Joes bar sitting down at the bar.

"Hey Joe" she greets the bartender

"Hey Vee. Alex all right?" he asked her quietly as he set down her usual drink in front of her.

"Yeah he will be fine" she said dismissively clearly not concerned. Joe nods at her before tending to others.

She turns around when the door opens and sees Meredith walk in. Mer comes to the bar, sits down besides Veronica and asks for tequila.

Meredith silently starts doing shots not bothering to say anything as Veronica watches her.

"Ok what's wrong with you?" she asks Mer not being able to keep silent anymore.

Before Meredith could reply Joe came over to refill her drink. "You look familiar. You been here before?"

"Once. That worked out really well." Mer sarcastically replies to him

" I know that look. It'll be one of two things. Either your boss is giving you hell or your boyfriend is. Which is it?" he asks

"Both."

"My boyfriend is my boss. HEs an ass." she says as an explanation

"Tell you what, this one, it's on the house." Joe tells her sliding a shot glass towards Mer.

"What did McDreamy do? Do I need to go beat him? " Veronica asks concerned for her friend.

Before Mer could reply Christina walks in followed by George.

"All hail the champ!" as everyone cheered for him. "So, my guy Alex finally got what was coming to him." Joe asks

"George knocked him down in one punch. You should've seen it." Christina boasts as veronica rolled her eyes. Personally veronica didn't believe George should have punched Alex. but honestly it was funny as hell to watch and George looked too happy so she didn't call them out for it.

"I don't want to talk about it!" George modestly says.

" brag, champ, brag. You've earned it."

"Can I have a beer, please?" George asks instead.

"Let's play a game of whose life sucks the most. I'll win. I always win." Meredith says morosely.

" No, you don't want to play with me." Christina states.

"Oh, I do. I'll even go first. Derek's married." Meredith drops the bomb causing George to spit his beer out

"George, beer is dripping from your nostrils." Christina says disgusted.

"HE WHAT?" Veronica shouts as she stand up ready to hunt him down and beat him.

"what are you doing" Meredith asks looking at Veronica.

"Going to beat him" Veronica states as she starts moving towards the exit before she is dragged back by Mer and Chris.

"stand down" Meredith tells her softly patting her shoulder, her arm around her shoulders to make sure she doesn't leave.

"Told you I'd win." Mer smugly says

"No, you didn't win." Christina says unemotionally.

" Did you hear me? I said Derek is married. As in pig-headed, adulterous, liar married. Nothing you could say could top that." Mer says honestly expecting a bigger reaction.

"I'm pregnant. I win." Christina nonchalantly drops the bomb on them.

"WHAT? DO I need to beat up someone else along with Derek" Veronica asks her seriously causing the other two to crack small smiles.
