Next morning Arjun woke up early with a severe headache and a grumbling stomach. He had not eaten anything the previous day.
He cleared his head and sat on his bed, while stretching his arms fell on his bride whose name he didn't know. Anger started to rise when he saw her sleeping so close to him.
He stood from the bed started to pace around his room. He left the room to find his mother and ask her why did she sent the girl to his room .
He found his mother on back of the house doing pooja to the tulasi plant. He waited till she finished her pooja. Krishna vani knew her son was standing behind her, she smelt his alcohol and sweat odor mixing with the fresh breeze of the morning.
"Amma why did you send that girl to my room" asked Arjun as he couldn't stop himself till her pooja gets to complete. His mother didn't reply but kept chanting the mantras .
He followed Krishna vani inside the house where he kept annoying her the same question.
"I sent her to your room because she is your wife and she has full rights on you" Krishna vani answered to Arjun's annoying questions.
This made Arjun to loose all of his patience he had. He strode to his mother, stood so close to his mother with red eyes.
"You blackmailed me into this marriage, this marriage is not going to workout because my wife will only be Meera . Meera is my love and she has my soul. I'll not give anyone her place in my heart" Arjun said these words and turned to go back to his room.
But kirthi stood there listening to her husband words which was breaking her heart. Arjun didn't get affected by her and just before entering his room.
"Let me make one thing clear Meera is the only girl who will be my wife and all the facade that happened yesterday was nothing but drama. It'll be best if you get that to your head ."
Arjun said those words and closed the door with a bang. Krishna vani went to kirthi to explain her what was happening but kirthi showed her palm to stop.
"Can I ask one thing why did you make me agree to the marriage if you knew that he was in love with someone else" kirthi asked her mother-in-law.
Krishna vani took a deep breath and said"they are not of our status they belong to lower middle class and I don't want a girl to come to my come without any gold jewellery what will happen to my status. My name will be tarnished".
Kirthi went back to her room but it was locked from inside so she went to the garden sat there thinking all what has happened till now.
