Krishna vani was the only person who was responsible for Arjun becoming obsessed with Meera. From when meera was born until rajendra's family broke Krishna had been filling Arjun's mind.
Arjun was the teenage who had just found a baby infront of him cute. But Krishna Vani filled his heart and mind saying that Meera was his wife. At first Arjun thought that everyone were teasing him.
As the time went Arjun started to see Meera as his wife. Then he couldn't stop thinking about her. After the warning from Arjun Krishna vani had kept her distance, she was afraid of her own son.
On Meera's 18th birthday Arjun suprised Meera with a gold chain with black beads. Meera liked the design of the chain. Meera was about to wear the chain by herself but Arjun stopped her. She was confused as to why her Mama is stoping from wearing a chain.
Arjun explained that the chain is not a simple one but a mangalsutra in the north india (and in tamilnadu people usually didn't have their thali with black beads). Arjun said that he wanted to tie the mangalsutra to her and making his.
Arjun asked her permission and he wanted her so much that he couldn't wait for her to graduate. Meera took some time to think. In that small time Arjun's heart was beating very badly, he was afraid that Meera might reject him. Sweat started to form on his forehead, he had his palm folded so tightly that his hands became white.
Meera took a step closer to make Arjun relase his hands and nodded as yes. She was shy , blush started to form on her cheeks. Meera asked Arjun to take her to the temple. Arjun obeyed her and took her to temple on his bike.
The temple was silent as it was early morning, only the priest of the temple was present. Arjun went to the priest and informed him to marry them both. At first the Iyer denied as the temple must have all marriage recorded and registered, Arjun wanted to keep his marriage a secret.
After lot of pleading and bribing the Iyer agreed. Then the Iyer took the mangalsutra from them and placed under the lingam ( statue of lord Shiva). After chanting few mantras and blessings the thali Iyer brought the thali to Arjun.
Arjun was eagerly waiting for the Iyer to finish his pooja. Just when Iyer brought the chain to Arjun to tie it to Meera, Arjun took it so fast and tied to Meera that Iyer was actually behind in reading his mantra.
Iyer was stunned, Meera left a laugh but controlled it with a cough. Then Iyer blessed them both and gave Arjun vermilion powder to fill on Meera's hair partition. After all the rituals Meera and Arjun took blessings from Iyer by falling on his foot.
Iyer said that they should stay in temple for a while as he wanted to Bess the couple. Arjun and Meera took part in few more rituals, by the time they left the temple few worshippers started to enter the temple.
