"What's cooking good looking?", whispered Dahlia as she settled on the chair beside Tasha.

The library was pretty empty. No wonder. It was just the beginning of the semester, only a handful of nerds were roaming here and there around the aisles or sitting alone in some corner with books, taking notes.

It had been three weeks since Tasha had moved out from her house and shifted to the dorm of St. Agnus University. The scholarship helped her through the process. Her parents, even though unhappy about the course she chose and her decision of moving out, didn't place a say about it but Tasha could tell from their silent hateful glare that she had lost all hope of ever going back through the doors of her house again, unless she decided to glide on their preferred trajectory. She was finally out in the world all alone, with nobody else to lean on or hide behind.

Tasha's heart had been aflame since the day she proposed Satyavati and got rejected with no room left for consideration. She couldn't blame Satyavati for that. Even though she still couldn't wrap her head around the rejection after the jealous and overprotective vibe she had been getting from Satyavati, the vibes that certainly made her believe her feelings were not one sided; yet she knew musing over it won't get her anywhere.

Still Tasha couldn't tame the storm inside her heart down. She had been in love with Satyavati for years. In fact she had never imagined her life with anyone but her. How was it even possible for her to get over that woman? Tasha knew Satyavati had every right in the world to not love her back, she was her own person and she didn't owe Tasha her heart. Yet the untamed passion burning in her heart defied every logic. Only Tasha knew how hard it was for her to not rush to Satyavati's gym or her house. What she wouldn't give to just see that enchanting face once or hear that deep rumbling voice again?

Over it all, Tasha was sulking. Even when she wasn't encouraging the hope of ever getting a place in Satyavati's heart, she still expected Satyavati to contact her, to ask her if she was okay, to come and see if she was doing okay. It was as if the proposal had severed every tie she built over years with Satyavati. In an instant that woman lost all interest in her. She was so possessive of Tasha just the day before that she wouldn't let Tasha hang with her friends till late at night or won't let Tasha go alone to the evening tuitions, after the proposal she didn't even call Tasha once to know whether she needed her.

In the dorm, Tasha had made some friends. A few nerds to be precise. They are serious about studies and often hang out together in the library. The team include Dahlia, her roommate. Arni and Kiara, the residents of the next room. Other than those three Tasha couldn't think of one good thing that had happened to her since that day when Satyavati turned her back to her and left.

"I thought you three were going to get coffee", Tasha whispered back to Dahlia looking at her confused. Dahlia, Arni and Kiara went to get coffee before. Lately Tasha couldn't stand the smell of coffee since it reminded her too much of Satyavati. So she refused to join and came to study in library. It hadn't even been fifteen minutes and Dahlia was already in the library.

"Come with me", Dahlia didn't let Tasha speak anymore and dragged her out of the library.

"What's your deal! Where are we going?", Tasha asked once they were out at the corridor with Dahlia still dragging Tasha with her out of the building towards the campus exit.
