Alex

I loosen my tie in the car. I'm having trouble breathing. Well, not real trouble. Mental trouble.

Who was Collins? I can't help but think about her no matter how hard I try not to. I mean, she's special. But, there was something weird about her.

She's a werewolf, why did she not act like one. Most werewolves in human form have a small twitch. And that's not a regular twitch. It's from hearing every small sound. But, Collins doesn't have it.

Maybe she's just good at hiding it?

All I know is I want to date her. I mean, I've had girlfriends. I was the alphas son. Reputations stack up. But, I'm serious about Collins. Like, really serious. I don't even know how to describe it. It was different.

There were attractive girls. Like Angelina Jolie. Who are pretty and good people. Except, this was different.

I mean, I can't date the Alpha Killer's daughter. He'd kill me! And I can't die without an heir. And I'm not having kids with someone who's not my mate. But God! Collins is confusing! Like holy shit!

I don't know what to do about her! She's just confusing and I want to be with her but the way I see her isn't as fantastic as the way my parents used to talk about when they found each other.

I mean, shouldn't I feel sparks when we touch? Be engulfed in a heavenly smell? I only had smelled something like that once before, and Collins was leaving. Maybe, maybe it had been a girl walking by that I had smelled.

Maybe I'm just attracted to Collins cause she's pretty. I'm not going to lie.

She was effortlessly beautiful. Her eyes were dark brown, almost black with flecks of what look like green and gold depending on the light that you were effortlessly mesmerized by, with long skinny eyelashes in the colour midnight that she flicked almost constantly. Her skin was slightly darker than Ivory, with a metallic rose coloured tint to her cheeks. Her faultless dark brown, almost black hair fell loosely over her shoulders. Her lips were like a frozen rose, dangerous but beautiful. Her nose was tiny and chiseled, and she had a fold in the center of her chin. On most girls it look hideous. But she could pull it off.

She seemed to always be in a stance that showed she had power. When her arms hung down at her sides, her face showed it. When she smiled, her stance and posture showed that she was an Alphas daughter. No matter what she did, Collins was perfect.

And it wasn't like I didn't notice her smile. Her teeth were perfect and pearly white. Her smile could light up a room, and I'm sure it did.

I couldn't comprehend the way her eyes light up when she's really happy. You could see the difference between her happy smile, and her that's funny one. Her eyes light up when she's happy. Like the gold flecks almost seem to flow. When it's funny, she gets crinkles at the edges and her smile is wide and her rosy cheeks become a tad more red.

"Dude."

I look over at Karter, Collins still on my mind. "Yeah." I say. It was one that wasn't quite a question, but it was getting there

"You okay? We're almost home."

I look around and notice that he's right. We didn't live that far away from them. We're the next pack over. Which always terrified me. Because when the Alpha Killer is your neighbor, you can't help worry.

Karter pulls into the driveway, which is long and windy to the house.

I unbuckle before he stops and get out before the cars off. I make straight for my room and shut the door. Unlike most packs, that have apartments, everyone sleeps in the same house. Beta and Alpha on the penthouse level. Then it goes from highest to lowest rank by floor. There's 4 floors of living quarters. The bottom floor is living room kitchen etcetera. There are bathrooms at the end of the hallways. One for girls one for boys. The third floor is showers, unless you're a Beta and Alpha or on the 4th floor. Well, depending on who you are. There is one guest room on every floor.
