Alex

She was a rose,
Delicate like the petals,
But ruthless like the thorns.

I put my phone down and look at the floor.

She's our mate.

"She's a monster." I say out loud.

You sent her to jail.

"She deserved it."

She's our other half!! He screams.

"She would have killed us!" I scream louder.

There's a lot of things running through my mind. There's a lot of things running through my wolfs mind. And I didn't know what to make of any of it. But one thing I do know and trust, is the Alpha running through my veins.

And there was the law. If the Alpha Killer was found, they were to be reported and turned it. I followed the law.

There was a knock on the door. "Come in." I call. I don't know who would be here. This was a foreign pack. I don't belong here.

The door opens and Carolina is standing in the doorway. "What are you doing here?" I ask, confused.

She leans against the door frame arms crossed. "I could ask you the same thing."

"I just wanted to talk to her." I confess.

"She may be a monster, but she was my Alpha." Her voice cold.

"Was?" I ask. She looks at me curiously.

"If Collins is killed, you become the Alpha. You rule her entire pack, you know that right?" She's concerned but curious.

My head surges. I can barely run my pack. Run Collins! Hers is huge there's no way! I mean yes, close in size but mine is all blood. She's running multiple packs at once!

"No. I can't." I shake my head, my voice shaky. She shrugs.

"Shoulda thought of that before you sent her to jail huh?" She raises and eyebrow. I hold her gaze, knowing she's challenging me, making my Alpha blood boil.

"How do I fix it?" I ask.

"You break her out of the hospital." She whispers.

"I'd be breaking so many laws." I groan.

"She's your mate." She says. I look at her, surprised she knows. "Is a law going to hold you back?"

"Alex." Annabelle said as I approach the nursing station. She was only a few years older than me, and I head slept with her a good amount of times to the point where she thought we were a thing.

And I would jump at the opportunity. You know, if I wasn't here trying to find my mate and rescue her an all.

"Where's Collins?" I ask, leaning on the desk. Hurt flashes across her face, then anger.

"Why do you want to see that murderer?" She asks. But she's clicking on something on the computer.

"Come on Anna." I coo to her, trying to get her to spill. She seems more relaxed as I call her that. She stops looking at the computer then up at me.

"Why don't we get out of here?" She asks, leaning forward with her elbows on the desk. I can actually see the reflection of the computer on her name tag which is pretty amazing.

"Room 675. Thanks." I slap the counter before leaving. I hear her huff behind me and I chuckle to myself, shaking my head and putting my hands in my pockets. "669, 671," I list off as I walk by. "675." I finally say.
