Collins
I breath in and out. Nobody is talking to me today. I won't let them. It's my parents death anniversary. Also, my mothers birthday. And, most people might think the reason for me not talking to anyone is because I'm sad. The real reason is because I like to think of the reasons their death made me stronger.
My parents had been perfect, well they were when they we raising my sisters and I. I thought they were the best people on earth.
In reality, I think the pain of my parents made me stronger. I think the tears I shed made me brave. And the heartbreak of losing them made me, well I'm not going to say wise because I still rely on the elders.
I mean, the death of my parents hadn't taken a toll on me as much as it had Ellie. But maybe it did.
Deep down I was an even bigger wreck than her. I mean, I seek revenge and murder. And eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. But, there was also something satisfying about killing. I mean, I got away with it.
I'm not sure for how much longer, but I did. It wasn't something I did because I thought I had to.
I'm a monster.
I kill for not only revenge, but also the pleasure. I kill for pleasure more than anything else.
I snap back to reality. There was a knock on my door. It continues as I ignore it. Finally the door just opens.
It was Jack. "What do you think-"
"It's Ellie." he says ignoring my tone. I rush past him the moment he said it. I fly down the stairs and straight out the door to the medical center.
I swing open the door, and cool air and the smell of medicine rush over me. I know exactly where I'm going. There are a few wolves here, nothing serious, and they bow their heads in respect. I fly past those double push swingy doors and when I get through them, there's a long hall way. No doors. No windows. Only a dim lightbulb every few yards, it's barely enough to light up the hall.
Where was I? This isn't the hospital. I turn around to go through the doors, but its a wall. I pound my fists against the wall. But it doesn't change back or move.
There's breathing behind me. I slowly turn around. And I would never say it out loud or show it, but I'm a little scared.
I turn and I'm in a garden. I look behind me and the wall is gone. It's a giant field. I look forward and look at the garden. There's a small brick path under my feet and winding through the garden. There's flowers everywhere. Closest to me, is red. And the farther back you go, the flowers and colors change. It's rainbow. A rainbow color coordinated garden. There's arches and ivy walls around and a fountain here and there. The garden is absolutely stunning. I walk along the brick path, before the sound of breathing is back. I turn around with my wolf teeth barred, and my eyes glowing yellow. But who I see surprises me. I change back quickly.
"Mom?" I choke out. She's worried, and confirming its her, she runs up to me and grabs my shoulders.
"Honey, you must leave."
"What?" She wants me to leave? Why is she here? What is this place?
"Honey, it's not safe." She begins to fade. Her image begins to fade.
"Mom!" I call, watching her disappear in front of me. She then is being dragged away by arms of an invisible force.
"Get out! Now!"
But as she screams it, I'm falling through the air. I don't scream, because I'm too terrified. I'm spinning and flying around. I try to balance myself out, but I'm moving too fast. I look at my surroundings, or as best I can.
