Collins

I wake up with the presence of someone else there. My eyelids feel glued shut and I couldn't open them. I try, and fail.

"Hey."

I turn to the sound of the voice, still not being able to open my eyes. I know that voice.

"Hey." I say back to him. I finally pry my eyes open. He looks almost the same. Except tired and extremely beaten down. I take deep breaths, my eyes barely able to remain open. "Where am I?" I ask. He takes a deep breath through his nose.

"You should thank Larry." He tells me. The old mans innocent face pops into my head.

"Why?" I shake my head.

"He got your charges dropped. He argued your case and won. You're a free woman Muffin." He smiles. I let my eyes fall shut with a smile on my face.

"I don't feel any different." I giggle, opening my eyes again. He shakes his head. He stands from the chair and kisses my forehead. He sits back down on the chair.

"You look different. That's for damn sure." He lets out a soft laugh and I just smile. The door bangs open.

"Okay! We have many options!" I look towards the door. There's Noah. He's holding multiple bags of chips, none the same flavor. He doesn't look at me. "There's cappuccino, kettle, barbecue, salt and vinegar, chicken, cheeseburger, bacon, turkey-"

"Dude." Jack cuts him off from where he's sitting. Noah looks up. But looks straight at me. He drops all the bags in his hands.

"Oh my god." He says quietly. He walks over, in the process, he steps on all the chips and there's the sound of them crushing. I flinch. He comes over and caresses my head with his body. He holds it like he's hugging  a watermelon. So I'm there in his arm. He strokes my hair. "You look horrible FYI." I mumble a thanks against his arm. "Sh. Babe don't talk. You have enough to deal with." I pull away from him, looking up at him. Jack is now standing and he smacks Noah on the back of the head.

"What?"  I ask. Noah looks panicked and Jack looks worried and annoyed.

Noah shakes off the feeling and smiles. He pulls Jacks chair up and sits on it, leaning his face on his hands. "Well, where to begin. The charges. Larry dropped them all. You will never hear about you being a murdered again. Well, at least from the court of law. You should really send that man a fruit basket or something cause he is a god." I can't help smirk. "Christa. That psycho bitch got away and so did all the rouges. They got away and we're pretty sure that they're going after our pack. Ellie and Adrina. Ellie is safe. Adrina, yeah I don't know. She might be with them and might not be. She doesn't contact and we can't find her. But, we usually can't find her anyway. The powers thing. They didn't do enough tests to see if you have them or not. But there's hope I guess. The pack. White Fire belongs to you and so does everyone in it. Nobody left. In fact, people got really sad. They love you Collins. They were really sad when Jack told them about you being taken. But, its okay now. Training. We should probably start that again in case the rogues do come." He nods. He looks at Jack. "I think that's everything," he says before looking at me again. I take a deep breath through my nose.

"Alex?" I ask not being able to help it. Noah hesitates.

"He's facing charges," Jack cuts in. "For helping you escape and holding you. But, Larry said he'd try his best. He gets bonus points for getting you out of there."

I pause. "He got me out?" I say. They both nod. I stare up at the ceiling, surprised not to see the light.

I remember back to the last time I talked to him. "I said I rejected him." I whisper. Curse their werewolf hearing. But neither of the seemed surprised. "I told him that I didn't want to be with him. To be fair he called me a monster." I shrug.
