luz, a failing student at hexside needs to get her grades high enough to be able to graduate, so...
I went to the living room and picked up a pen and notebook. The pen had lots of nibbles and bites on it's lid - guess the Blight likes chewing on things. The living room was really clean - other than the huge bottle of booze that was half empty.
After examining - I went to Amity's room, she was sat on her bed and signalled me to sit down with her. Her bed was really soft.
"Okay, so Noceda. Today I'll teach you maths. Particularly expanding brackets today." Amity said to Luz, holding a pen ready to demonstrate.
"I already know this Blighttt." I said in a bored tone - poking her.
"Is that so? Then tell me how to expand: (5+3x)(4x+10)?" Amity said - staring at Luz with a smug expression of victory on her face.
I looked at the paper with a confused expression. This is not what I remember AT ALL. I swear it uses to be like 5(6+3) 4(9+6). Where did x come from. Huh? I gulped and tried my best to answer it and the answer I got was 86x. Amity stared at me like I was a complete and utter idiot. She grabbed my paper and crinkled it.
"How the fuck did you get to that? Ugh, just look." Amity groaned at me before writing down an example.

"Basically Luz, do the first number in the bracket times the first in the second one. Then the first times last in the second one. Then the last in the first bracket times the first in the second bracket, then the last in first times last in second. Capiche?" Amity said quickly running out of breath.
"uh sure." I said writing it down.
"So would the answer be... 12x^2 + 50x + 50?" I asked Amity - hoping that I used the 5 braincells I had and was right.
"..yeah good job Noceda" Amity said, trying to keep the fact she was impressed out of her voice, but she was pretty bad at that and I noticed it immediately.
As Amity was giving me a bunch of questions on it and while I was getting it.. kind of right - I noticed a lot about her. Whenever she smiles Amity has a fang that shows - its kind of hot actually. No I shouldn't think this - if anything I should be lucky my ass is getting this help, not fantasizing over her and thinking these things.
"Noceda you can leave now, you are done for now." Amity said with a stern tone once I finished the questions. Wishing to get her out of her dorm - not standing her question asking any longer.
"Nah, I wanna stay. And what's with the tone, aren't you proud that I got them right?" I responded with a smug voice and a small grin on my face. Proud of myself for answering the questions all correctly after 1 mistake on it.
"Proud that you got something that I got taught when I was 13 right? Try again next time Romeo." Amity shot back with literally no remorse. Wanting to stop the small talk with Luz and get her out of her dorm room.
