Amity's POV

I walk down the stairs; not believing what I just did. When did I become so ballsy? Why did I become so ballsy? Why am I acting like this? This really isn't like me and I don't like it. Is it Luz? Maybe I need to start keeping myself more in check. I've only revised around 11 hours this week. It isn't good enough. But I can't just ignore her either, I am literally her tutor for the next 2 months. This is so.. difficult. 

I reach the bottom of the stairs and exit the dorm building. It was Sunday today, school begins again like normal tomorrow, and we have a quiz tomorrow as well. 

I make my way across to the little ice cream café, I go there often, one of my sisters friends Viney works there, I don't talk really know her though, she is normally in detention for trying to mix subjects or some weird shit like that.

As I enter the café this.. kid I think was just behind the counter with their hand on their head. I've never seen them before. They had a very light purplish white hair colour, and they wore full body clothing which kind of looked like pajamas with moons on it. Regardless, I go up to the counter and ring the bell.

"Can I get a chocolate chip cookie dou-" I began, before they cut me off.

"What's your name!" The child asked cheerfully, putting their hand off their head and looking up to me.

Confused and surprised I cautiously respond. "Amity. Amity Blight." I respond, giving an awkward smile to the little kid. "What's your name little child?" I ask trying to give off the same cheerful energy, but just coming off weirdly instead.

"I'm older than you lady." He replied coldly, then going to the back. That was strange, why is there a child here? And why won't he give me my ice-cream. 

Sighing, I just end up leaving the café, damn. Why was there a kid here? And there is no way they are older than me. I just wanted some ice cream.

 Sitting at the dorm covered in books, all attention to the outside world gone. She had to get this homework done to her best extent. But she can't because Boscha is being SO FUCKING LOUD. I shoot her an annoyed look, essentially telling her to make her spaghetti quieter. 

It was around 11pm when I heard a knock on the door. I had only about five pages worth of homework left to do, so not bad. But I can do better. The knocking continues. Reluctantly I get up and go and open the door.

It was Luz. Why Luz? At this time? I usher her to come inside and to close the door behind her too. I look and feel like a zombie. She looks like she is about to fly to the moon and back. I make her take off her jacket and stupid red beanie before sitting down.

"Luz.. how are you?" I ask. It was awkward, the last time I saw her my siblings made a mockery out of me. 

"Im doing fine, you look like a zombie though." Luz responds chuckling slightly. Her smile warmed me up.

Boscha was standing in the corner, still 'cooking' when she turned around and frowned at us. "Could you two be any more fucking awkward? Like jeez." She says disappointedly.

"I'm sorry. That's my roommate Bitch-ca. Whoops, I meant Boscha." I said in a monotone voice, not even trying to hide the fact I called her Bitch-ca. 

Luz giggled a little bit at the joke, and Boscha frowned even harder. Muttering something I couldn't really hear or try to hear.

Boscha had left to go to some party at dorm 100. Me and Luz began watching a show. It was about these twins who were living in a small town with like weird stuff happening. They had to fight this yellow triangle with god-like powers. It was cool.

I found it amusing, Luz took it way more seriously and was way more interested in it too. Like way more interested. 

"Amity.. the book got burnt!" Luz shouted, devastated. 

"Yes Luz I can see that." I replied smiling a little bit. I can appreciate this. This is nice.

"But they can't beat lliB without the book! What the fuck is going to happen next!" Luz said, looking at me eyes wide and overdosing on caffeine. Her eyes were beautiful. A dark caramel brown that stared into your soul, I could find myself getting lost in her eyes. 

"I don't know Luz, maybe keep your eyes on the TV and not on me, then you'll find out." I reply smugly, with a smug grin and everything. I liked doing this to her, it was really fun.

"Don't act all clever with me Blight, i'll fight you!" Luz retorted back, keeping her eyes on me. It was like a fight, whoever looks away looses.

"Go on then, you won't." I say, slowly leaning in closer, feeling my heart race and feeling my face go redder by the second. 

"Watch me." She whispers, doing the same as me, maintaining the eye contact. At this point I could feel her breath. All it took was one more little move to close the gap.

EENIE MEENIE MINEE YOU!  The TV yelled, gaining Luz's attention causing her to immediately look at the TV. 

My heart raced. My face was flushed. My heart melted. That was close. So very close. She was right there. I could see everything. The little cuts and scars on her face. Her dull eyes. Everything. It made me feel at ease.

Luz passed out and it was now 4 in the morning. Her head was on my lap and her face was burried in it as well. I can't move. I won't let myself move. She is so fucking ADORABLE. She sleeps like a child, it is sosososoosososos cute. 

I couldn't sleep that night, because of her. Every minute she would either ask something dorky or would say something dorky. But I have to try to sleep. Today is school. WAIT FUCK TODAY IS SCHOOL WHAT AM I DOING! 

Slowly I lift Luz's body up, it was a little difficult because she was bigger than me. This position was.. wait. She was literally on top of me. My face turned bright red. 

LUZISLITERALLYONTOPOFME  I thought to myself, feeling my heart rate increase. Why would I do that! When she wakes up she will think I'm some weirdo! Well done Amity! She was so.. soft? It's hard to put to words, it was nice though. 

Luz's head was resting on my chest as I slowly started to fall asleep, my hands were on Luz's soft cheeks. My mind wandered for a little bit before finally sleeping. Oh when we wake up this will be an awkward conversation. 

But that's a problem for future Amity.
