"You're important to me," the shorter blurted out.

After realizing what she said, Minjeong bit her tongue and sighed. Jimin on the other hand smiled at the revelation and rested her arms on the railings to calm her thumping heart.

"Of course, you're important to me... you were a part of who I am."

Minjeong continued, causing the taller to swiftly land her eyes on the girl confusingly.

"You kind of changed a part of me, thanks to those memories we've spent I guess. They're part of who I am. No matter how much they hurt, they're important to me."

Jimin pursed her lips, "So it's not that way?"

The shorter felt hesitant to speak, but she knew for herself that she wasn't that dense and was aware of the girl's feelings.

Due to her condition, she wasn't sure of what feeling or emotion is gradually filling her mind. Minjeong could've sworn that she felt a sting struck through her, causing her to hiss silently.

Thankfully this was unnoticed by Jimin who seemed to be in deep thought whilst looking at the scenery beyond the railings with an expressionless face.

"Rina, I'm sorry... it may seem that nothing changed but to me, a lot actually. I'm confused myself, believe me, I wished that those things didn't happen and maybe... maybe we would've been still together? I think..."

"Do me a favor and never fall for her?"

Those words echoed inside Minjeong's mind. She couldn't help but bite her tongue once more to the point it bled— It's true that she doesn't hold any feelings for the girl anymore.

Yet, somehow there's this weird feeling that she couldn't conjecture... something akin to making her unconsciously clench her fists.

Minjeong hated it, she hated the fact that she couldn't recognize her own emotions. It was annoying and frustrating at the same time.

Though as soon as she clasped back to reality, she forcefully released a smile towards the taller who had her usual poker face back on.

"I love you too... just not like the one I felt years ago— I guess."

"For now."

"Huh?"

Jimin pursed her lips and took a deep breath before sighing deeply, then turning her back to face the shorter.

Eyes filled with determination, she took a step closer that caused Minjeong to do the opposite and step back.

The taller continued to take a step closer only for the shorter to back away slowly.

Well not until Minjeong felt her back lay against a wall... a dead end. Having nowhere to escape the girl's continuous steps had come to a halt, cornering the shorter.

"I promised to myself that I'll never leave you again, didn't I?" she asked monotonously.

"...Yeah?"

"Jeongie, I mean it."

Minjeong averted her gaze and sighed in defeat, "I understand... but please keep distance, this isn't what we came here for right?"

Jimin smiled, obeying the shorter as she took a step back to rest her arms on the railings once again.

"Shall I start when I was on my way to see you?"

Minjeong approached the edge where the girl stood, but not too close to see what lied beyond the ground. She sat down on the cement floor and nodded her head.
