magnum pi: The saviors secret

chapter 2

Everyone sat around the table eating and chatting. "So Emma how has college been?" asked TC. "boring but fine." replied Emma. magnum knew from this answer that Emma was lying but he didn't say anything. "so Rick how is the bar?" Questioned Higgins. "The bars doing fine, I mean business has been pretty slow lately with it been fall but where doing fine." replied Rick. "well that's great." responded Higgins "So uncle Magnum how has your retirement been?" asked Jenna. "boring, very boring actually. I've actually been considering coming out of retirement." explained magnum.

At the moment she could feel her chest tightening up. "Emma are you alright." asked Magnum. Emma didn't respond and after a few moments she quickly got up from the table and left. As soon as she was out of view she ran until she was on the beach. she threw off jacket and just stood there on the sand, trying to hold back tears. she tried so hard to catch her breath but she couldn't. She paced around in a circle as a few tears slipped down her checks. She couldn't believe her dad was considering coming out of retirement. all the sudden she was snapped out of her thoughts by someone grabbing her shoulder. she wiped around and almost punched magnum in the face. "Sorry I didn't mean to scare you." laughed magnum. Emma didn't say anything as she moved away from him. "Emma are you okay, what's wrong?" asked magnum very concernedly. "Nothing I'm fine." lied Emma as she quickly wiped away her tears hoping her dad wouldn't notice." No your not, talk to me please." begged Magnum. Emma took a deep breathe. "I'm going to go, tell mom I love her okay." said Emma as she walked away. Magnum runs after her and grabs her arm. for a few moments neither of them say anything, then all the sudden she slaps magnum across the face.

Magnum in shock doesn't say anything and neither does Emma as she walks away. "Magnum are you alright?" questioned Higgins. "I'm fine." says magnum as him and Higgins walk about to the house. "what's going on with Emma?" asked Rick. "I don't know, I tried to talk to her and she hit me and left." explained magnum. "That's not the Emma we know." stated TC. "did you try calling her?" questioned rick. "yes and she didn't answer so I'm just going to give her space." stated magnum

Meanwhile the drive back to her school was quite. she had really comprehended what had all Just happened. her phone then went off again for like the 100th, it was her parents but she ignored it. she really wasn't in the mood to talk to them. she pulled in to her school parking lot and parked the Ferrari. she got out and began to walk to her dorm room. she opened the door to see a unfamiliar looking woman sitting on her couch. "can I help you." questioned Emma. "yes my name is Kate Barnett and I'm the director of MI6 and we need your help."explained Director Barnett. "Help with what" asked Emma. "The UK and the us are under a huge treat by a group called the dark-shade they smuggle drugs and weapons and recently we believe the planted a mole in Mi6 to still classified information about our dealings with the us and we need you to infuriate the group because if any of this information where to come out, it would bring about a great war between the us and the UK. so will you help us?" asked director Barnett. "first I have a few questions. why didn't you go to my mom first, she is after all a former MI6 agent?" asked Emma suspiciously. "your mother Juliet Higgins has a very complicated history with MI6 and you where the next best choice." explained director Barnett. "ok I'll do it but what do I tell my professors and my parents? questioned Emma. "Don't worry I'll handle that, you start packing. tomorrow I will send for someone to pick you up and take you to the airport. oh and don't forgot your passport because your going to the UK." Said Director Barnett as she walked to head out the door.
