magnum pi: The saviors secret

chapter 13

Higgins was sitting in another interrogation room separated from both magnum and Emma. she sat their trying to look as unfazed and annoyed as possible, she new the drill all too well. The amount of stories she could tell about how fast she could get suspects to break could fill a whole book if not two. she could help but worry about Emma. she knew magnum could handle it but Emma was not trained in the way she and magnum were. she couldn't imagine how terrified her daughter was, all she wanted was to be able to hold her and tell her it was all going to be okay but she couldn't.

"Hello Mrs. Magnum I'm Agent Rockford and I...."

"let me stop you right their I have nonthin to say to you." Interrupted Higgins.

"Ok well that's fine your husband said the same thing but your daughter keeps insisting she was framed but we knew she's lying and where so close to breaking her." provoked Higgins.

"I swear on my mothers grave if their is one hair out of place on her head I will kill all of you." Threatened Higgins.

"Is that a threat?" Questioned Rockford.

"Maybe but you don't care, I know how all of this works." Smirked Higgins.

"Oh you think this funny do you?" Replied Rockford.

"I can assure you I don't but this is a huge waste of my time, Time I could be using proving my daughters innocents." exasperated Higgins.

"You really think your daughter is innocent don't you?" Questioned Rockford.

"I don't think, I know." Corrected Higgins

"Well then maybe you don't know your daughter in the way you think you do. we have video footage showing your daughter leaving the hotel room at the exact time of the murder." Replied Rockford.

"That's all you got I can doctor video footage faster then you can tie your shoe" scoffed Higgins.

the detective looked at Higgins stunned.

"no we also have her fingerprints on the murder weapon." responded Rockford.

"yeah ok fingerprints can be easily planted especially if someone say Kyra Peterson throw the weapon in her hand which she did." Insulted Higgins.

"you don't know that." Replied Rockford.

"Bring me a computer with the security footage and I'll prove it was doctored." Challenged Higgins.

With that the detective left the room.

meanwhile

Magnum was taken from the room that he was in to another room where he saw Emma huddle up in a corner. Magnum slowly approached her. he reached out his hand for her which caused her to flitch. Magnum sat down across from her and took her hand in his.

"It's okay baby I'm here." Said Magnum as he pulled her into his arms.

"Tell me a story." Requested Emma.

"Ok once upon a time their was a P.I very much in love with a ex-spy who was also very much in love with him and one day the ex-spy told him she was pregnant with his baby. the P.I was over the moon so excited to be a father. The day his princess was born was the best day of his life but sadly he wouldn't be able to rase her but everyday while he was in captive the thought of reuniting with his princess and queen kept him alive and fighting. when he did reunite with the princess he couldn't believe the beautiful young lady she had turned into but in all the excited meant of being reunited with his family he didn't realize how much his princess was struggling and he wishes he would've have noticed sooner and he's so sorry and wishes he could take her fear and pain away."Finished magnum.

"Dad what happened wasn't your fault." Replied Magnum.

"If I hadn't taken that case then I would've of abandoned you." Replied Emma.

"You never abandoned me and I never thought you did. You where kidnapped and we cant change that but we try and make up for the time lost together" Replied Emma.

"I love you Emmy." replied Magnum.

"I love you to dad." Replied Emma.

Meanwhile back with Higgins

the detective came back a few moments later with a laptop.

"Ok prove it." Challenge the detective.

Higgins grabbed the laptop and began trying to find any signs that the video had been altered. she went thought the video twice before notice a weird clipping of the video like their should be more footage their.

"Is this the original footage?" Asked Higgins.

"Yeah why?" Replied Rockford

"This footage is docker watch....see that there's an obvious cut here. someone cut the footage theirs a whole chunk of footage missing" Revealed Higgins.

Without saying a Word the detective left the room.

4 hours later

Magnum and Emma where both lead out of the interrogation room that they had been in and into another room where Higgins was.

"Alright now that where all here, We have some news. After Mrs. magnum helped us find out the security footage was docker we went to took to the security guard at the hotel and we got him to confess to helping docker the footage. once we had that we where able to get the actually footage where like Emma said Kyra Peterson was seen entering the hotel room seconds before the murder. we sent a team to the warehouse to arrested her but she wasn't their and where currently looking for her." Explained Detective Rockford.

"We have all available agents looking for her now and we think the best course of action is to send you back to Hawaii. we have talked to detective Katsumoto and cover story that you will all be briefed on. We also have HPD on alert for Peterson so if she does try to come back they'll be ready." Explained Sullivan.

"So that's it we all get to go home?" Questioned Magnum.

"Yes as far as MI6 is concerned your daughter was a unfortunate victim in all of this." said Rockford.

"ok lets get you guys debriefed on your cover story and then on a plane home." Added Sullivan.
