magnum pi: The saviors secret

chapter 8

Higgins sat on the plane reading every news article on what was happening in the U.K. There wasn't much but that London was under a strict curfew so looking for Emma was going to be harder. She also was thinking about if she should tell Magnum about her connection to Darkshade but decided she should probably tall to William about it first because of how classified the mission was. she refreshed her page again for the 100th time not really thinking she would see anything new when she saw that there had been more information revealed.

she clicked on the page and It read:

Suspected murderer Emma Magnum has been confirmed to have been working with the terrorist group Darkshade. the 18 year old had only entered the country about a month ago, she had been reported missing by her parents when she stopped answering phone calls from her parents and stopped showing up for her college classes. Her Parents are retired private investigates Thomas Magnum and Juliet Higgins. the 18 year old has now been on the run for 8 hours but MI6 is very confident she will be captured soon.

"Magnum." Higgins said as she turned her laptop towards him.

"I guess well have to do what ever we can to conceal our identities," Stated Magnum

Meanwhile somewhere in the U.K

After running for hours she had finally found an abandon warehouse in the middle of nowhere. she sat on the ground where she finally broke into tears. She couldn't believe what she had gotten herself into. how could she have been so naïve and now she was stuck in a country where she knew no one. She sat there sobbing for awhile till she eventually feel asleep.....After a few hours she awoke to the sounds of dogs barking and people talking. She got up and quickly looked for another way out until she found a side door. she used it and ran as fast as she could until she was covered by trees. she looked back for a moment and saw a few random people that where definitely not cops but she wasn't going to take the chance that they where MI6 or Dark-shade so she ran deeper and deeper into the dark forest not knowing where she was going. she didn't stop running until she felt somewhat safe. she walked and walked for hours until the sun began to rise. now in the daylight she looked around at her surroundings nothing but trees and bushes.

At this point she was exhausted,hungry and thirst but she knew she had to push thought and keep going. she felt like she was going in circles because everything looked the same. after about another hour she started to feel dizzy and everything was spinning. she collapsed on the ground just a few feet away from a cabin. she heard somebody say her name right before everything went black.

A few hours later

Emma final began to wake up. she looked around and took in her surroundings. The cabin was small with a small fire place and a bed with a couch she was currently laying on with a tiny kitchen. she looked over to see an old man probably mid 70s sitting in a chair his hair grayed. "Who are you and where did you take me?" Emma asked. "Well I found you passed out outside so I brought you inside." the strange man answered. "you still didn't answers my other question." Stated Emma. "You Probably don't remember me but I'm an old friend of your mother Juliet Higgins. We've meet before but you where probably only 9 so you probably don't remember. my name is William Parish and I'm an ex MI6 spy." explained William. "I sorry but I don't remember you and how do I know your not lying. Emma Questioned "Its okay I figured you wouldn't." Replied William as he pulled out a Photo of him, Higgins and Emma eating ice cream at Disneyland and handed to Emma. "This was the last time I saw your mom in person, you where about 9 and I came to visit your Mother." He Explained. "I think I Kind of remember this." Emma Said. "Why did you never come back to visit? Asked Emma. "Well shortly after that picture was taken we where attacked by dark shade, they must of followed me from England to find and kill your mother luckily we weren't in Hawaii so you where able to go home to Hawaii but after that we decide it would be safer if me and your mother stayed apart but we stilled chatted over video call and I've been hiding out here ever sense." William Explained.

"I don't understand why was dark shade after you and my mother?" Emma asked.

"Well it was the early 2000s and your mom had been an agent for a few years and her, her boyfriend at the time Richard and two other agents where all part of a task force that I lead that would get the Highest level cases because we where considered the best especially your mother and as such we where given the dark shade case and after months and months of surveillance your mother volunteered to go undercover and at first everything went fine it was your standard undercover op nothing we hadn't done before but somehow your mothers cover was blown and she was being tortured for information, so we sent in a MI6 swat team to get her out which thank goodness we did because she wouldn't of made it if we hadn't but doing the raid a lot of Darkshade associates died and the head of darkshade was killed and for over a decade we didn't hear anything about Darkshade till my visit." William revealed. "But if most of Darkshade was did they wait so long to try and come after you guys?" Emma Questioned. "I was never able to figure that out until now. the new leader of dark shade is Kyra Peterson the daughter of Brain Peterson the original head of Darkshade and she just so happened to be there they day of the raid so my working theory is she's doing this for revenge and decided coming after you would be a better revenge then killing your mother." William Theorized.

"So all of this was revenge for something you and my mom did over 20 years ago?" She asked.

"Yes and I'm so sorry you where dragged into this." William apologized.

"One more questioned if most of darkshade was killed how do they know both of your identity's and why are they only coming after you? She asked.

"Well Richard was murdered in the line of duty, one of the other agents was disavowed and became a criminal, the other has since died. which just lives me and your mother." William Explained.

"But my mom was also disavowed so why come after her and not the other agent?" She asked.

"Well because your mother was the one who shot and killed Brian Peterson as she tried to escape the Darkshade right before we came in to save her. when we came in we found her standing over him with the gun in her hand right before she passed out." Explained William.

Emma sat there trying to process all the information she had just been told and all that her mother had been thought and how much she sacrificed to protect her.
