Did I really say that?Holy tamales!I am officialy Vixens bride!My heart was beating radically from nervousnesss and excitement.Ah crap!How do I always end up in these weird situations...A thought popped in my head and I instanly freaked out.
Axton,the complete retard will be my brother in law...Shoot me.
Wait are we doing the human marriage thing?
"Zaylie."A husky voice whispered in my ear and I turned to Vixen.His usual icy blue eyes had a warmth to them as he smiled broadly and leaned in."Thank you."He kissed my cheek lovingly and I felt my cheek tingle at the contact,his hair tickled my face.I smiled in return.
"No problem."He grinned and squeezed my hand.
"Yes thank you so much,Zaylie!"Mrs.Zealios exclaimed a bright smile on her face.
"Spasibah."Mr.Zealios smiled,his voice flowed smoothly without an accent this time;he spoke in Russian.
"What?"
"Thank you."He chuckled.Vixen flicked my forehead,I scowled and pinched his hand.He winced but squeezed my hand tightly as if challenging me.
"What does being a vampires bride consist of?"I asked a little nervously,squezzing Vixens hand again.I heard him chuckle and return it.
"Well you have to be in it a hundred percent emotionally,physically and mentally."Mr.Zealios warned,I nodded stiffly;I really hoped I could do this.
"What am I suppose to do?"Vixen stiffened and his hand froze in mine.
"Well..."Mr.Zealios cleared his throat.Calice sent me a sad look and excused himself,he got up and left.Axton was smiling goofily,like always.
"You have to stay with my son for all eternity?"Mrs.Zealios declared sternly,my heart dropped.
"As in become a vampire?"I choked out.Vixen drew circles on my hand soothingly.
"No,don't worry we'll explain it all."Mr.Zealios assured me,I nodded.
"A vampire is born as the common myths,unable to be in the sun,dead heart,but they do not need blood unless they which for strength.Although the only blood they can drink from is their brides or mate.Once they find their bride,their blood revives their heart and they become daywalkers,they also get new powers such as speed,bat wings and mind controling.A brides duty is to stay by their vampire for all eternity,give them blood and love them.A
bride gains similar vampire powers as their vampire's saliva enters them during a bite.It is like a human marriage but not as 'innocent',once she is in it,she cannot leave."Mrs.Zealios explained.Vixen's eyes turned guilty and he adverted his eyes from my gaze.
"Can you do this?"Axton asked in challenging voice.
I didn't know if I loved Vixen but I knew I truly liked him a lot.He could always make me feel better and I felt I could always trust him.Also how could I let more beings die?I had to help,so I smiled and nodded my head.
"Of course."I could feel Vixens eyes boring into my head.
"Good,we will hold you to it then."Mr.Zealios smiled happily.
"Welcome to the family!"Axton exclaimed,rushing over and hugging me.I pushed him away and he complied as Vixen hissed in annoyance.
"Jeez alright..."Axton sighed"I'll tell Calice the news."He left and I felt my heart drop,Calice hates Vixen and will most likely be ticked off about hearing this,I hope he doesn't shift and attack Vixen.
"Oh!One more thing!"Mrs.Zealios stopped me from getting up from the couch.
"What?"I asked wearily.
"Theres a ceremony to complete it."I felt Vixen freeze next to me,his hand squeezed mine tightly.
"It is a little bloody though.."Mr.Zealios trailed off,worry lines creasing his forward.Bloody?Well that's expected with vampires right?
"Yes, you two have to exchange blood to promise to one another you'll be together for eternity."My jaw dropped,I don't wanna drink blood.I gagged;Also eternity?I am so screwed now,I am pretty much marrying a vampire.
"You don't have to do this."Vixen whispered in my ear.
"I want to."I confidently said and faced his parents.
"When is the ceremony?"
"Well we want to do it when your parents come and we have to do it in front of the vampire and witch nobles,so they can witness for themselves the tie."Mr.Zealios said thoughtfully.
"Ok."I agreed.
"Yes that might be tomorrow night."My face paled.Ah crap!I'm so freakin screwed!I will most likely throw up or something...No don't think that way!Think of the blood as kool aid!Yea kool aid!
"Well I hope you like drinking blood!"Axton exclaimed,a smirk on his face.
I am damned.A vampires freaking damned bride.
