Zaylies Pov
I awoke to something warm pressing against my back and arms entwining my waist.I turned over and felt my face heat up as I realized it was Vixen.I hated to admit it,but I felt safe with the idiot.And honestly after lastnight,I needed someone to feel safe with.Its strange how my life is now so hectic.I'm a princess witch,my dogs a shapeshifter,my parents are royal witches,and the guy i like is a vampire.The only thing left is for Kourtney to be a mermaid or something!
But i'd be lying if I said I regretted meeting Vixen,I'd be lying if I said I wasnt lonely before I met Vixen,last of all I'd be lying if I said I wanted Vixen to let go of me right now.Therefore I wont lie anymore,I'll tell the truth.
Well actually,I dont have the balls to tell Vixen I like him...but then again me not having balls is a good thing.I am a girl after all,so whatever.I'll wait til I have the guts...
Vixen stirred beside me and I quickly shut my violet eyes,pretending to be asleep.I felt his grasp tighten and pull me closer.I could feel his gentle hands push hair away from my face and his soft lips kiss my cheek.I restrained myself from blushing,but I couldnt restrain my lips from forming a small smile.I could feel his chest vibrate as he chuckled in response.
''I knew you weren't asleep!When you really are you snore and drool everywhere."He smirked,i lightly punched his shoulder and he snickered.
Then his face filled with gravity.His black hair shadowed his flawless face."I'm really sorry"He began,I opened my mouth to protest,but he covered it with his hand."Listen.I'm a failure for letting anything happen to you.Your my Bride and I should be able to protect you.I'm sorry I wish I was stronger..."He trailed off sadly.I was touched by his apology,but it wasn't necessary.
I leaned forward and kissed his cheek."Really Vixen thanks,I'd be dead without you."
I wanted to laugh at his expression.His blue eyes were beaming and wide with shock,his cheeks turned slightly red.I giggled and pinched his cheeck,he blushed harder.At this point I was laughing."Awww look at little Vixen,he's embarassed."I teased and he smiled widely,then smirked.
"Theres nothing little about me,my Bride."It was my turn to blush and he chuckled,pinching my cheek.I playfully pushed him away and he pulled me closer to where there was no space between us.My breathing hitched and his clear blue eyes became intense.
He watched me closely,holding my gaze.I held his in return.His eyes reflected love and happiness,he bent down inching closer to my lips.Our lips were centimeters away when the door slammed open,breaking our little moment.
"Whoa!Keep it PG kids!"Axton yelled,smiling smugly.Cant he knock?Vixen groaned and looked immensley annoyed.
"Really Axton!Couldnt you wait or something?!"Vixen complained irritaded.
"Nope!Mom called and we need to go to London!"He exclaimed obnoxiously.Why London?
"Why?They arent home?"Vixen asked confounded,sitting up and pulling me up with him.
"Theyre meeting up with Zaylie's parents ans the Vampire Council."Axton replied boredly.My heart quickened,I haven't seen my parents for months!I didn't know if to be excited,anxious or angry.I mean they kept many secrets hidden from me.They were freakin' witches and so was I!
"Oh okay"Vixen replied."When are we leaving?"He asked casually.I think he noticed me tense,because he grabbd my hand and drew circles on my palm with his thumb,soothingly.
"Tonight bro!"Axton shouted.My heart sped up even more.I dont know if I'm reday to see my parents...
"Tonight? Thats quick."Vixen muttered.
"Yeah,they said it was important and its not safe here anymore.Anyway imma go feed...Save some of her for me Vixen."Axton winked at me and Vixen hissed.
"Go to hell Axton!"Both Vixen and I yelled.We turned to eachother and laughed.
"Whatever."Axton muttered and shut the door behind him.We were still gazing at eachother,but I quickly looked away.
Vixen cleared his throat,"It'll be oaky,I promise Zay."Vixen soothed,I half smiled.
"Theyre still your normal parents,no matter the species."He continued and I smiled.
"Yeah your right...Thanks"I relaxed.
He smiled crookedly"No problem.Now where were we..."He trailed off leaning in for a kiss.I laughed and pushed him away,to annoy him.
"Na uh,you've got morning breath!"I teased.He narrowed his eyes and blew his breath in my face.Which was actually really fresh and minty.I frowned.No fair,lucky vampire.
He smirked and planted a big,slobbery kiss on my cheek.I grimaced,"Ew dude!"I complained and lifted my fist to punch him.He hopped off the bed laughing and flashed toward the door."My Bride,you smell.Take a shower."He said smirking and shut the door behind him,laughing.I frowned,what did he expect I was attacked yesterday.
Annoying,stupid Vampire.
