Chapter 12
Vixen's POV
I can feel myself slip out of unconciousness as I hear the sirens of probably fire engines.I have a monster headache and I feel like toast.Well I'm guessing this is what toast feels like after the toaster...I can smell humans and a mutt.I reluctantly open my eyes to see Zaylies house on fire a few feet away,the glow of it lighting the sky.I can't believe Zaylie has those powers.They are streange...I don't think Ive ever heard of anything like them.Is she human?Is this why my parents insisted I pick her as my bride?This is is insane and worsening my headache...I'll think later and talk to my parents after I get Zaylie somewhere safe.I turn my head to wear the butt licker is shifting to a sitting position, now in human form and naked.Disgusting I think imma throw up.
I turn my head away and look at Zaylies unconcious body laying a few inches away.I frantically scramble toward her.
"Zaylie!"I shout my own obnoxious voice hurting my ears.
When I reach I sigh in relief to see she's alive except a slight weezing, probably from inhaling the smoke.I pick her up in my arms,stand up and turn toward the mutt."We need to leave, before the humans see us and suspect us of the fire." I say my very best trying to sound serious for once.The annoying stripper, otherwise known as Spiffy smirks at my failing attempt.
"You can never keep a straight face leech, don't even try"he says
"You can obviously never keep it in your pants Spiffy"I reply trying to hold my laughter in."I can't take you seriously with having a name like Spiffy"I finally give in and burst out laughing.
"Well atleast I got to sleep with her every night"He growls and I feel the jealousy come in but refuse to show it.my fangs go against my wishes and slip out biting my bottom lip,freeing blood.He smiles smugly"By the way my names Calice.Zaylie's future boyfriend to be exact."He smiles even wider"She burned you!Haha and to save me!Aren't her powers cool!"
"Like a give a crap!"I hiss my anger flaring.I breath slowly to calm myself.If I try to attack him Zaylie will get hurt."You can keep dreaming blondie,but she'll pick me!and she's already my bride so suck it!She burned you too so I wouldn't talk!Now shut up and let's go mutt!"I declare maliciously.
He glares at me his icy blue eyes similar to mine burning and a deep growl comes from his chest."And where do you suggest we go huh leech?My house?If you haven't noticed I live with Zaylie who's house is now a giant marshmallow!"He bitches
I'll ask him about why he's here and Zaylies powers once were safe.I smirk and reply smugly"My house.Ofcourse."
