Chapter 19

Zaylie's Pov(again)

Vixen's blue eyes stared intently into mine,filled with anger,concern and love.His gaze quickly shifted to his window as it shattered.I restrained myself from screaming like a little girl.I can't say I wasn't scared,but I am not weak.I will burn the crap out of them.

The pieces of glass soared through the air and Vixen quickly threw me over his shoulder,dodging every piece.He put me down reluctantly,and hissed at the intruders.There were two and by the growls downstairs,there's more. 

The men stood proudly in front of us.One had long,wavy light brown hair and piercing green eyes.The other had short,spikey black hair,brown eyes and facial hair.Ew.I hate facial hair.To calm myself down,I had to distract myself.

"Hand over the girl,Vixen"The brown haired one said.I'm guessing he's the one that wants me as his bride.I was going to say Hell No,when Vixen growled.I stared at him shocked,this was new.

"Get the Hell out Zeen!Zaylie is MINE!I will NEVER hand her over!"He hissed angrily,he was standing in front of me protectively,shielding me from them.I was cool with that.Vixen's crimson eyes glowed more,if that was possible.

"Tsk.Tsk Vixen and I was going to let you live.Lenon take her."Zeen said strictly.With that he flung himself at Vixen.Vixen bared his fangs and they danced in a blur.

I felt a cold hand grasping my upper arm and I turned to see Lenon."Your his slave who does the dirty work for him huh?"I smirked.He hissed angrily and flung me at the wall.My head made a nasty crack and blood trickled down my face.

"Zaylie!"Vixen yelled panicky

"I want her alive!"Zeen demanded. 

"You jerkhead!"I yelled.My violet eyes widened as I saw the crazed look on his red eyes.He stared at my blood hungrily and licked his lips.Crap.

He came over and licked the blood from my face.It was disgusting!I quickly kicked his shin,but it didn't faze him at all.

"Control yourself!"Zeen demanded angrily.

"Zaylie!Just wait a while!I swear I'll save you!"Vixen shouted desperately.I turned my head toward their direction and saw them still fighting in a blur.Droplets of blood flew out from the blur and hit the carpet.Please be okay Vixen,I mentally pleaded.

I was too distracted to notice as Lenon pulled me up by my red hair.I winced,but refused to scream and give him the pleasure of bringing me pain.My anger flared and I saw tendrils surround me.I smirked at his astonished face.I lifted up my hand and blasted him in his fugly face.He flew across the room and out the shattered window.I smiled triumphantly and walked toward the window to see him groaning on the grass.

I sprinted down the stairs,faintly hearing Vixen yelling my name.I reached the living room to see Calice in full form(8 ft tall,silver eyes,red pupils)He was tearing a brown haired vampire to shreds and didn't even notice me.I ran out the door into the front yard,sealed by pine trees.I could barely see Axton and another vampire battling like Vixen and Zeen.I scanned the yard for Lenon,but couldn't find him.

While doing this I didn't notice him sneak up behind me and kick my spine.Luckily there was no crack,just pain.But I fell to the ground,filling my mouth with grass and dirt. 

I flipped over onto my back and he instantly placed his boot on my stomach."Get up girly.Zeen wants you."He demanded roughly.I could barely breath under his weight,but managed to mutter"Screw Zeen"His foot pushed me deeper into the soil and I coughed harshly.

"I guess i'll have to knock you out"He smiled evily.He lowered himself and straddled me.He violently began punching me.I coul hear as his fist slammed into my face roughly and my vision blurred.My violet  eyes looked around dazed.I tried to bring out my fire,but it failed.Calice said fire is triggered by anger and stress,but what I felt now was anxiety and fear.I could feel as the blood drenched my face.I began coughing out blood. 

I managed to turn my head to the side and look at the forest scenery.Was this it?Was I going to give up?Leave Vixen behind?Calice?Kourtney?Even Axton behind?No.I wasn't going to be weak.I wasn't going to give up and perish.

I looked at the rocks around me as Lenon punched my cheek,bruising it.I focused on the rocks only and managed to shake them.Another blow to my cheek.I ignored the pain and was able to pick up a rock in the air,still unnoticed by Lenon.My breathing slowed and with the strength I had left,I lit the rock on fire and flung it at Lenon's head.It zoomed through his head,spraying blood and instantly killing him.I quickly threw him off me.

I shakily stood up and leaned against a tree,catching my breath.My face was bruised and bloodied,but I wouldn't perish today.None of us would.We'd make it out alive and I would tell Vixen my feelings.
