Falling.
It felt like the force of a thousand hands pushed me from an origin I cannot comprehend. My lungs struggled for air as the wind seemed to pull what's left of my oxygen out like a magnet.
I was falling?
The first instinct was to spread my wings. Yes, this is what I needed to do.
I opened my sparkling white wings right before my body hit the grassy ground underneath me.
The flames are what I felt first. Burning flames on my backside. Inside my backside. Then, I heard a thud. A loud, booming thud.
My body hit the ground.
I didn't realize my eyes were closed until my sight became hyper-aware of the bright luminescence in the room. My eyelids surrendered, opening. To my surprise, I'd shifted on my side in my sleeping state and faced the only other individual in the room. He simply looked at me with a blank stare, as if watching me intensely. His gaze was unreadable and all I could try to do, in my sleepy state, was to ignore the urge to call him creepy for the stare.
"You're crying," was all Shouto said.
"I am?" I asked with a dumb expression, wiping my eyes lazily before sitting up.
I remember having a dream, yet I cannot recall the content. Maybe it was a nightmare?
"Surprised that all the yelling from Kirishima's match with the other one didn't wake you up," he added, ignoring my previous question.
The boy was too busy overthinking to give another thought, ironic. I couldn't say I blamed him though, god knows what's going on in his mind right now.
"Whose round is it?"
"Almost mine," he replied simply, "Cementos needs to finish repairing the arena after Bakugou and Ururaka's fight."
I winced, picturing Bakugou mindlessly blasting at the petite girl while yelling something on the lines of "die."
"How'd it go?" I asked quietly, "how did all the other matches go, too?"
I supposed asking him to review all the other matches would take his mind off of what he was really thinking about, his father. Or more intensely, his poor mother.
Shouto didn't hesitate to fill me in on every detail of the matches I missed out on. I nodded and attempted to memorize everything as fast as I could, eventually sitting down in the chair across from him.
Kaminari lost his match to the girl with the greenery quirk in 1B because of his cockiness. Mei used her match to display her quirk-enhancing technologies then forfeited; Iida moved on to round 2. Tokoyami defeated Mina with Dark Shadow. Kirishima and Tetsutetsu ended in a draw but only recently did Kirishima win in an arm wrestle. Finally, Bakugou defeated Uraraka; yet, not with ease.
