"White petals."

I turned to face the individual beside me. Dazai, Osamu Dazai. A man who personifies the word mysterious.' Unless he expresses them, his genuine intentions are never evident. While Dazai's suicidal urges are first amusing, they reveal a genuinely dark and profound hole in his heart. Even as an adolescent, Dazai questioned whether life had any meaning. As a result, he quickly attempted to fill this void and find a cause to live, choosing to live a life surrounded by murder and battle. It is a difficult task to keep the facts that I keep secret hidden. When it came time to reveal secrets, I would make someone else feel humiliated or ashamed. I've scouted a lot of individuals as an Adeptus, but I'd never do it as Y/N. I've witnessed people's lives fall apart over little matters. Broken stylus, misplaced item, the ill-fitting outfit I understood they were merely sensitive people, but causing a commotion? I resumed my attention to Dazai.

"Continue?"

Dazai exhaled his fingers on a cup of coffee. We were seated in a café, waiting for someone I couldn't describe. Nevertheless, seeing the male serious must be a significant person.

"White petals, aren't they a pretty bunch."

It wasn't a question, but rather a declaration. Why are only the petals utilized? How about the entire flower? I was perplexed by the overall conversation, however, the brunette saw my perplexity. He only chuckled, and it wasn't a pleasant one. It was bleak and dull.

"Do you know what they mean?—Xiao?"

I shrugged, but things grew rapidly hushed as he returned his eyes to me. I'm assuming he wants me to convey it to him.

"White petals or white flowers symbolize veneration and humility, purity and innocence, or sorrow for a loss."

The male applauded, pleased with my response. He chuckled while closing his eyes.

"What transpires to all the petals once they've been used?"

I remained silent considering there wasn't enough information for me to continue on. But Dazai spoke for me.

"They get old and are only utilized for their beauty. It dries out and rots away."

I shrugged, uncertain of where this discussion is leading.

"Are you still befuddled?"

I shook my head as he exhaled again.

"Do white flowers symbolize purity and innocence?"
